Within 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxurious hotel and spa boasts an 18-hole championship golf course and a 20-metre swimming pool. I was hopeful but cautious because I'd read very mixed reviews before we went. But honestly our three nights were absolutely fantastic, the perfect rest. I can't wait to go back. The food was exceptionally well cooked with a good range of choices. The staff (especially in the dining room) could not have been more friendly, professional and personable. It went beyond what I had hoped for and I have bookmarked Mount Wolsley as a perfect getaway and retreat.

All the food was fresh and well prepared. There was an issue with Booking.com not forwarding our prepayment to the hotel. When this was brought to the attention of reception, it was promptly investigated and resolved to my full satisfaction. A great staff at reception.

Very warm cosy clean and comfortable we were only staying 1 night on our way to Kilkenny but it was so comfortable we had a very restful night and we had freedom to do our own cooking which was ideal.
