A big thumbs up for the very helpful staff of Hotel Laxa. When we were about to check out, we clumsily drove our car into a pile of snow accumulated in the hotel car park overnight and got stuck there. A few hotel guests around lent us a hand but still could not pull our car out. Fionn at the Front Desk came to assistance immediately upon our request. It was certainly some strenuous work he did to free our car from the thick snow. And he's our hero. Thanks also to another lady at the Front Desk who was very helpful. It's a pity that we did not know her name. All in all, it was a great stay at Hotel Laxá. It's clean, cosy and at a good location in the Myvatn area.

This hotel is situated on Lake Myvatn, 3.3 km from Myvatn Nature Baths. A number of amenities including a bar and free WiFi are featured. Staff were very nice and friendly. Gave my mom a little snack to take with her for the road, when she said that she really liked one of the treats.
