Located in the country side, Hotel Stundarfridur offers accommodation 12 km from Stykkishólmur. This property provides guests with a terrace. There is also a restaurant and a shared lounge. We had an incredible 2 nights stay at this charming family-run guesthouse. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The dinner was delicious and the portion was huge! There were only about 8 to 10 units in the main guesthouse so it was exceptionally quiet and tranquil at all times. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Apparently there are 2 ways to get to the hotel, both about 2-3km on gravel road but one road is more paved than the other. The one that is less paved is when we google map from direction of the town.

Found 23 km east of Snæfellsnes National Park, this hotel offers bright, modern rooms with private bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. Snæfellsjökull Volcano is within 20 minutes’ drive. How quite it is and relaxing . The view is beautiful
