Very private and secluded campsite. We were the only guests on the campsite which is ion the Auob riverbed, under ancient Camel Thorn trees. There’s water and the best working donkey boiler I’ve experienced so far for a hot shower. Hanli and Carla are wonderful and nice people and we enjoyed our stay there a lot. The place has a lot of animals, too. We saw giraffes, gemsbok, steenbok, white-backed vultures on the nest, bat-eared foxes and rosy-faced lovebirds.

The Obelix was clean, comfortable and was in a good location only a short walk from the town centre. The staff were very helpful and generally there was a genuine friendly atmosphere. The breakfasts were freshly prepared. The rooms were a little on the small side, but for the price I think this Hotel represents excellent value for money.

We stumbled upon this little gem as a pitstop on our drive from Windhoek and Luderitz. Upon arriving at our destination all my wife and friend could talk about was the "little hotel in Aus". I immediately cancelled the remainder of our time in Luderitz and booked the Bahnhof hotel and it remains a highlight of our holiday. As a hotelier of 19 years, every bit of this stay exceeded my expectations. All the small touches, especially the surprising turndown with a hot water bottle and handmade chocolate, exceeded what I assumed would be modest services in a small town hotel. The peace and staff were what makes this place, but one cannot ignore the general good maintenance and cleanliness.

With sea views from every room, Lüderitz Nest Hotel features a private tidal beach and jetty, as well as an outdoor pool. A sauna, restaurant terrace and bar all overlook the Atlantic Ocean. Wonderful hotel, location was super convenient and they met all of our expectations. Dinner was fantastic and the breakfast buffet had everything imaginable. Room was extremely quiet and had a great view of the bay. Even with the waves breaking outside, with the sliding door closed you couldn't hear a thing. Great place to stay in Lüderitz.
