Surrounded by vast, tree-lined gardens, the charming Convento São Paulo offers 2 outdoor pools a tennis court and offers 4 padel courts. A very interesting convent in lovely countryside. We could explore the historic building. We were here in November so didn’t get chance to use the swimming pool but that looked worth coming back for. There are a couple of great walks laid out in the Convent estate. We had a good dinner in the restaurant. The room and breakfast were excellent, staff very helpful. We have already recommended it to friends who also travel in the area.

Surrounded by 80 000m² of beautiful gardens, this 5-star hotel is 4 km from Évora city centre and housed in a renovated 15th-century convent. It offers a piano bar and free parking. LOVED this place. Full of history and ambiance. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was fabulous. Great sommelier! The breakfast was amazing. What a selection. We also booked spa treatments so it was super relaxing. We enjoyed the fact that it was outside of Evora for some relaxation and quiet time.

A few highlights about this property, first is the amazing breakfast, really wonderful, fresh local products, served in a thoughtfull way, we had home made Pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), açai with home made granola… and even a chocolate cake prepared for my birthday (such a sweet detail)! The second highlight goes for the hosts (a lovely Brazilian family) and their staff, they we’re very helpful and super kind! The ambience and decor of the room and all the social areas is very cozy, and welcoming!
