Lovely colonial house with a nice and calm area of St. Dennis but still close to the city center. We loved our stay. Coffee and tea are provided for free. The staff was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious.

Still, we were plesantly suprised by combination of quiet surrounding and convenient distance to town. Since we were cought on the island by Belal cyclon we were forced to stay closed in for some time. However, it highlighted the superb service and thoughfulness of the staff. Should you meet Laurence there feel safe and catered for whatever happens.

The Hôtel Exsel Créolia is located in the north of Reunion Island. It offers a large outdoor terrace with sun loungers overlooking Saint Denis and the Indian Ocean. I loved the panoramic view and quiet setting. I appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff. I enjoyed my meals at the hotel restaurant.

Located in a monument-protected building with beautifully decorated facades, Le Juliette Dodu- Le charme d'un monument historique features an outdoor pool, hot tub and a library with seating areas. Such a beautiful and unique little gem of a hotel! The breakfast was excellent and provided so many healthy and delicious options (not just parties!). The pool is lovely and the bed was quite comfy.

Located in Saint-Denis, on the Reunion Island, Central Hotel is a modern hotel, which offers a furnished terrace and a traditionally decorated lounge. Hôtel Select - Réunion is situated in a charming building with balconies, just 15 minutes' walk from the centre of Saint-Denis. I stayed in a single room. It had a double bed and a balcony with a table and chairs, with a view over the swimming pool. The bathroom has a strong shower! There is a TV with channels from mainland France and La Réunion. There was no kettle, but I think this is common for most hotels in La Réunion. The location was fine, it is just outside the city centre, but there are enough facilities around the hotel for eating and shopping. Some reviewers have commented that they felt unsafe in the area. I do not know why they felt unsafe, it is a residential area and I felt perfectly safe. The hotel is a very easy walk from the hotel to the Jardin de l'État and Rue de Paris. Also an easy walk to a bus stop for the airport (St Jacques). There are two big supermarkets near the hotel, E.Leclerc in Rue Monthyon and Carrefour in Rue du Bois de Nèfles. There is also a patisserie and a café with daily lunch just across the road from the Carrefour in Rue Bouvet, very convenient for lunch and coffee. The hotel is very reasonably priced and the staff are wonderful. My flight arrived very early (6 am), but the hotel has a luggage room, where I left my luggage for the day. There is also a shower room that early arrivals can use, which was very convenient. Some other reviewers have mentioned a lack of soundproofing, but I did not experience this. My room was quiet and I did not hear noises from surrounding rooms, which were all occupied. I highly recommend this hotel. It is a no-frills hotel, but it offers great service, comfortable rooms, a good location and the staff make you feel very welcome. All at a very reasonable price.
