This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.

An incredible place to stay in a beautiful location! House was spacious and luxurious. Loved the wood fired hot tub and the kitchen was incredible well equipped. Hosts were very friendly and answered our queries promptly. House was also easy to access by bus, with just a short walk from the bus stop. We also loved exploring the local area, including checking out the floating wood fired sauna (didn't use as the sea was a little rough) and the wind shelter. Would 100% stay at Hallesdalen again in future!

Amazing for a quiet night in the countryside versus a typical hotel. The rooms were updated and clean. Michael and Marianne (the owners) were wonderful! Def book the surprise dinner during your stay…. The whole experience was magical!!

Beautiful cabin in the woods. Spacious, lovely decor, great terrace. Fantastic forest for walking nearby. Cabin was larger than it looks in the pictures, with two proper sleeping rooms upstairs. One room had a double bed and the other two singles, perfect for a family of four.

This place has four identical spacious cabins in two floors built in 2017. Everything looks new and is of high quality, they didn't save on anything here. First floor has a fully equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee machine, toaster, dining area, two sofas. Above there are two bedrooms with views, one double and two single beds. All we needed was there, including bed linen, towels, dishtowel, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, and in our case even coffee. The private cabins are well isolated from each others, separated by trees, connected with elevated terraces and walks. To one side you have the ranch and open fields, and to the other is a ridge and woods, with multiple marked walking paths in a nature protected area. There is a childrens playground, and a vegetable garden. The trail starts 50 meters from the house, and continues up to the ridge where there are views over the sea. A couple of kilometers away is the sea. The beach is a nature reserve with bedrock all over, birds and sheep.

I loved the breakfast - best one I've had, ever. My first trip to Sweden and it's the best place I ever visited, both the country and the hotel. Rooms are superb as a whole too, just wish the bed was a bit firmer - for my taste. Met some of the coolest guys ever, as well. Graham, Max (was the second I think), and I can't remember the name of the third one for the love of me. I wish I could, but if you are reading this, it was a pleasure to hang out with you, guys. They were on a business trip, from England, but too bad we never exchanged numbers or something. Just know you guys were the highlight of my trip. Also, cheers to Ästa (the girl that was serving us drinks on Sunday) for putting up with our loud and utterly crazy jokes and being a great sport about it, she's great, as is all the other staff too. Everyone is great here. Also, special cheers to the younger, blonde guy, with glasses (I can't remember the name, sorry), at the restaurant/bar area, he was great too and as was the a-bit-older-than-the-rest-of-the-staff at the reception - very friendly. Thanks everyone for making my trip great. Will be coming back for sure.
