Cooper and his team made it the best trip. They gave us great recommendations and they organized a boat trip for us. It was raining when we arrived and they very kindly dried all our clothes for us. They wanted us to have the best experience in Tortugeuro possible. Cooper called us everytime there were cool animals around like Monkeys. We will definitely stay here again.

Set on a riverbank and surrounded by jungle, Tortuga Lodge offers an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and a restaurant serving fusion cuisine with Caribbean flavours. All rooms have river views. the stuff was perfect, the food was great, and the place was clean.

The lodge is located between the river and the ocean, so you get the best of both worlds. The hosts were so accommodating and made all of the reservations for our tours as well as picking us up in La Pavona and shuttling us in the boat back and forth to town. The morning canoe tour with Manuel was our favorite tour so far.

The hostess Anna Rita was very helpful and went above and beyond in assisting us when a family member got sick. She took exceptional care of all of us ? assisting us with everything we needed. Their guide Owen was very helpful too, assisting us with our medical needs and taking care of us by talking to the doctor and even bringing us medication. He was very knowledgeable and did a phenomenal job showing us the local wildlife during our tour. Ana Rita and Owen were truly amazing and we appreciate all they did to make our stay very enjoyable and comfortable.

The hostess is very communicative, Gloria makes your stay pleasant due to the tours and advices she offers, the tours were guided by her husband, Sergio who speaks English as well, has lots of knowledge and the fact that you were in a private tour and transported from the Cabins to the tour and viceversa. Absolutely amazing unique place. Fun sitting out on the veranda watching the wildlife (we saw Parrots, Racoons, Frogs toads, spiders). Good variety of food and incredible early morning safari and turtle watching tours.
