The place was very clean and calm, we had a perfect rest.
The bathroom was clean too . The bed is comfortable. There is a big TV device too, and a kitchen with all the tools needed.

Altenburg is a beautiful and unspoiled 'Residenz' town in Thuringia, with many buildings beautifully restored, others needing a lot of renovation/restoration. There was no war and no bombing in this part of Germany, so the town is essentially unspoiled, but needing investment and attention. The town is organized around the Palace, which is at the highest point overlooking the town. The Theater Cafe, across from the renovated theater, has excellent food, very friendly staff, and great value for money. Altogether, Altenburg represents great value for money.

Altenburg town centre left me feeling a little sad. It was quite run down. Hardly any bars or restaurants open. Many empty/boarded up shops.
It was easy to see it had been a beautiful town once.
I hardly heard German spoken as I wandered around at 7pm on a Thursday evening.
The Schlosspark is beautiful.
Altenburg is certainly worth a visit but .....
