Everything was amazing. Great quiet peaceful place with beautiful surroundings. House has amazing colours and designs . Very comfortable room and bed. There’s a living. Room and patio where you can sit and relax as well … loved everything.
Most of all the family that looked after us are the BEST … totally loved the whole family - the parents , the two brothers , their wives and the kids who always ran up to us and were always excited to see us. … they felt like my family . We had great chats and they were so warm and loving and this place truly felt like home.

Bhuj is green (unlike what one imagines), full of gardens...
Bhuj is green (unlike what one imagines), full of gardens with the Hamirsar lake in the center of the city. There are many interesting geographical rock formations nearby like 'Kadiya Droh'. Needless to say, coming to Bhuj obliges one to make a trip to the white Rann at 'Road to Heaven' and the site of 'Dholavira' which is one of the two Harappan sites in Gujarat, and of course in India (the other one being Lothal near Ahmedabad). A visit to the craft villages of Khamir, Ajrakhpur and Bhujodi which are all within 10-15kms from Bhuj, would also be very desirable in my list of things to do. Here is the heart of traditional crafts that Gujarat is famous for. While it's easy to get around within and to villages near to Bhuj, one has to plan for a trip to Dholavira. The government bus service is there once a day, only from Ahmedabad or Rapar. There is a private bus service from Bhuj to Dholavira also only once a day. This route takes the spectacular and considerably shorter 'Road to Heaven' route. Of course, you can hire a motorbike or a cab at Bhuj and make your way to Dholavira on the same route but that is not for budget travellers.
