I had a fantastic experience at this newly hotel. The property is impressively modern, and everything feels fresh and well-maintained. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience.
The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Whether it was check-in, local recommendations, or assistance with transport, they went above and beyond to make me feel welcome.
The location is unbeatable—right at Magok Square with direct access to both the AREX and Metro lines, making it incredibly easy to get around Seoul and to the airport. There are also plenty of authentic Korean restaurants within walking distance, which made dining out a pleasure.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-connected, and hospitable place to stay in Seoul.

We stayed in Stay Hwagok for 14 days in October. We were looking for a local home experience and not a hotel.
The house is close to the Hwagok Metro Station and convenient close to shopping and groceries.
The house lies in a very calm and quiet little street, yet close to the lively Hwagok area where there is plenty of shopping and places to eat.
The house was equipped with clean towels, shampoo, bodywash, clean bedding and was very clean and functional itself.
There was a washing machine with detergent available and the kitchen was also stocked with basic needs - such as salt, pepper and cooking oil.
Before arrival we had a small issue with our payment, but the host was kind enough to help us sort it out and ensure our stay.
The communication with the host was flawless. She was very kind, helpful and always very prompt in replying to our inquiries.
After a few days with warm weather, it got a bit chilly and our host contacted us to ensure that the house was warm enough and guided us to use the automatic heating system.
There was good space in the three bedrooms, common area and the kitchen.
There was good WIFI and a big and functional flatscreen tv.
There is a small terrace with an awning - we didn't use it due to the colder weather in October, but it gives a nice space around the house as does the the big entrance area in front of the house.
The house provided a great local feel of living in Korea.
If we return to Korea we would surely ask to stay in the same house again :-)

All the restaurants and bar were supposed to be open till 9.00 PM. The first day I went at 8.15 PM and was told they were closed (all three restaurants). Next day I went at 7.20 PM and was seated but told they would close at 9.00 PM but I was repeatedly approached by the waiters and reminded to finish up as soon as possible. At 8.15 PM they started removing the dishes for the buffet. Room service- the food was delivered COLD!
Bad manners of the staff and absolutely pathetic! It's not a five star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Closer to 2-3 starts.

It was a business trip - conference at the Songdo Convensia - otherwise I guess there was no other reason to visit Incheon. I did visit a few regional landmarks (temple and fort) which was nice, but it wouldn't have been possible without a car as public transport was not as efficient or convenient.

Vibrant city with lots of culture.
Vibrant city with lots of culture. There seems to be a lot of greenery close by and the colours of the trees are spectacular. Walking down from the Seoul Tower at sunset was beautiful as was the Olympic Park walk around the lake.
The fact that people wear traditional costumes to the palaces makes those visits special.
The night market in the centre should not be missed.
One feels safe in Seoul with respect an important feature.
The public transportation system is excellent once you get the hang of the local App.
Any language barriers can be resolved using modern translation tools

Out of the few capital cities I've visited, I found Seoul to likely be one of the most overrated (a slight bit above Paris maybe). The food is great, the subway network is fast, fairly priced and very convenient, but other than that there is very little that made me think that was worth coming. And while most of the people are about as nice as anywhere else, there are quite a number of pretty rude people or a number of situations where a sort of "me first" mentality shows up (queue skipping, rushing to seats in the subway...) and can be quite annoying depending on where you come from.

We checked in around midnight and unfortunately, didn’t have the option to change hotels. The room was supposed to be smoke-free, but it clearly wasn’t – it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The bathroom had visible black mold behind the sink, although the toilet area itself was clean. The room was a decent size, but the floors didn’t feel clean – I’d recommend wearing slippers. For a budget hotel, I guess you get what you pay for, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
