The hotel is fairly new, with spacious rooms, large and incredibly comfortable beds, and an excellent shower. The pool is amazing, and the gym and breakfast were both great as well. We initially stayed for a week and enjoyed it so much that we returned for another two nights. Although it’s about a 10/15 minute drive to the city center, getting there is super easy thanks to the free shuttle service offered several times a day, or you can book a private transfer without any hassle. We would definitely come back and highly recommend Madilao, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Everything was just spot-on.

Had ambience from the start, the lovely building with the traditional teak superstructure, a surrounding garden and lovely entrance roofed gates adding to place. Located with easy walking distance to the important historical sites, restaurants, the manager very helpful, taking my heavy case upstairs, booking my cab to the rail station. Room upstairs was delightful, a very comfortable bed. Lots of amenities, a good strong Safe, strong wifi signal. A lovely simple but comprehensive breakfast, was nice. Had a river view from my veranda so nice to sit out a down a beer in the evening. Mini fridge was stocked.
