Great selection for breakfast. Located almost next to the airport and within walking distance. But might need at least an umbrella if it's raining. Self check-in process was very easy. Same with the checkout. The room was very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfy.

We were happy with our choice of this hotel, we would stay there again. The room was nice and clean and breakfasf was really tasty (also with coffee to go option). The parking was free of charge. It was a five minutes walk to the light rail train which took us to the centre of Bergen. We used the public transport app but you can buy tickets at the platform as well. Train arrived every 10 to 15 minutes. The ride was about 35 minutes long, the last stop is in the heart of the city.

I travel a lot through Europe and spend the night in the most diverse locations.
For this trip I ended up in Bergen. A beautiful town in Fjord rich Norway.
My schedule ran out in such a way that I ended up in Quality Hotel Edvard Grieg, which is also close to the airport, about half an hour from the center. The namesake is a very famous person in Bergen, look it up. On arrival I was surprised by the size of the Hotel and the striking lighting made me think I was on Broadway New York or on The Strip in Vegas. But this was picturesque Bergen and I didn't expect that. The welcome at the reception, the service and the spacious modern room were "simply" excellent!
Unfortunately I had to leave early again so I had to skip breakfast this time. However, the lady at the reception had noticed this and had a packed lunch prepared for me. I was quickly handed this over by the night employee on duty just before I got into the taxi. Well done and much appreciated, Top Notch!

Bergen Airport, Flesland is located 13 miles (20 kilometres) from the city of Bergen. The frequent Flybussen bus service to the city centre and bus station leaves from the terminal every ten minutes between 06:00 until 00:00 (there are fewer services between 00:00 and 06:00). Taxis are a more costly, although swifter, option costing about NOK 600.

Be aware, he has posted photos , not showing the real situation there. There is no toilet, you have to collect your poop yourself with sand and paper. Limited water supply. No parking in area. You have to carry your luggage on sloop, unpaved and slippery ways to the cabin. Owner promised to give atleast half of the amount back, as we could not stay there but later he denied our request. We lost lot of money here.

This is a lovely area to stay in with lots of areas to explore by foot or cycle. Stunning views, great bus network and ferries to get to different islands and areas.
Groceries and shops can be quite far between if you don't have a car so plan ahead if you are in a self catering accomodation.
