Great location to airport. Only about 5 min drive in taxi. I received excellent service from all staff especially the girl on front desk at check in. The buffet breakfast was amazing! supermarket located right next door too!

The very quiet location at the edge of the town of Sandefjord, almost in the nature, and the rooms in a nice single-family house. The house has 3 sleeping rooms that are rented individually with shared bathroom, kitchen and leaving room. We are a family of 4 and rented 2 rooms. The 3rd room was rented by a couple. But it is not a problem at all and even if we did not cook there we noticed that the kitchen is well equipped. There is a table big enough inside and also outside on the terrace. Coffee and tea is provided. We spent only one night after a late arrival shortly before midnight in nearby Torp airport before heading to Oslo in the late afternoon, but we would have liked spending one more night to explore Sandefjord a bit more thoroughly as it is a charming town.
We noticed that there is a bus stop not so far away from the house, but it is best to go there by car or taxi. In the middle of the night anyway as public transportation is no more running. We were travelling light, so after departure at 11:00am we walked up to the fjord shore with our luggage to have lunch. It takes around 30 minutes at the most.
The host is nice and very responsive, even if he was exceptionally on the other side of the globe at that time. Well done Mikael ! 😊 Easy check-in at any time starting 1:00pm with code.

The place was really nice, such a peaceful and quiet spot, exactly how I like it. Supermarket is just at two minutes walk.
Mokollen, one of the best scenic point in Sandefjord is on walking distance, my highlight of the stay.

Brand new apartment, very clean and spacious. We could use the car charger which was very useful. Good situation in the way from/to the Larvik ferry. We only stayed 1 night so did not see Sandefjord.

Lovely city by the sea, nice parks plenty of restaurants and bars easy access to the train and bus station. trains run regularly and on time just two hours to Oslo. Plus easy access to other towns and cities.

Tonsberg has a nice centre with many restaurants to chose from especially along the harbour (still busy at weekends in late August) and a pretty promenade along the fjord to Nordbyen.
We managed to take the bus to Verdens Ende, and the beautiful car-free island of Veierland as well as the train to Oslo, during our 4 day stay, using the wonderful public transport system and VKT and VY apps

The people of Norway are friendly and warm. Their respect for each other shines through. It is a family-friendly place. You can walk to venues in the centre. The James Clark pub was the best bar we visited.

Disappointing stay in Tønsberg – poor hospitality and zero accountability
My experience in Tønsberg was ruined by an unacceptable apartment booking situation. The host canceled on arrival due to “double-booking,” gave no assistance, and the alternative accommodation was dirty and poorly managed. It’s shocking that in a busy summer town like Tønsberg, some hosts feel entitled to treat visitors this way – with no responsibility or professionalism. This left me with no trust in local hosts and no desire to return. Tønsberg may be charming, but this level of service is not.

Beautiful little town, excellent shops for some browsing. Food shops are good too with lots of variety. There’s E-Scooters everywhere which makes travelling a breeze. If your into nature, this is a great place to go. There’s lots of different hikes and trails, we spent a long time getting lost in the cliffs on sunny days. Very easy train station, with access to Oslo main in less than 2 hours. Food prices are good and there’s lots of places to eat if you want. Locals speak English and are very accommodating. Definitely would love to go back!
