We absolutely loved the charm of this beach house. It was very comfortable, well equipped. The only problem is that I wish we had stayed longer. Walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops.

The room is very tidy, clean and spacious. Inside there’s everything you need. Stephen is very friendly as to meet us when we arrived. He offered airport transfer even we took such an early flight at 6:45. The stay there’s exceptionally good.
Situated only 5 minutes’ walk from Tahunanui Beach, ASURE Fountain Resort Motel offers a large swimming pool and barbecue area. Guests enjoy free WiFi.

Would highly recommend this very well cared for motel which was in a great location and within walking distance of the beach. The owners made us feel welcome and were on hand to offer assistance. The unit we stayed in for 4 days was spacious with a sofa and comfortable extra large bed.

Had intended to visit Farewll Spit but disappointed to find that it involved a day trip and you could not use your own vehicle...tour bus only.
This means you need to stay close to Collingwood or face a very long day to catch the tour bus.
Would recommend the trip from Nelson to Collingwood but allow 2 - 3 days for that alone.
We stopped at most townships & included the Pou Pou fresh water lake. Well worth the visit.
Went to the market in Motueka. Had a pizza & coffee for lunch. Can I just say a m a z i n g!!!
Best I have had in years.

We were here for a conference, however we managed to fit in some great antique shopping and a couple of cafes- Appleby Gardens for dinner and Craftsman cafe for a lunch, both fantastic food and service.
You do need your own vehicle to get around Hope.

Mahana is a nice little village a few minutes from the POD. It's also central between Richmond and Motueka, with wineries and NZ's oldest pub just a few minutes away. There's pottery/woodwork/art galleries and antiques everywhere.

I love Nelson.
I love Nelson. Stayed out near Tahuna Didn't visit the city, but the area around Tahunanui has good restaurants and bars and the beach and surrounds are lovely and relaxing. Good spot. I also visited the classic car museum. If this is your thing, it is $20 well spent.

Hope is a small settlement with a dairy for limited supplies . It has an interesting history celebrated through the mural on the local Ranzau rd school and cemetery / church. Worth a visit. Otherwise horticultural area, close to Richmond for supplies and more. Close to Nelson and Mapua.

A great spot away from the hustle of the city. The apartments are right next to the Wharfside shops and eateries ( highly recommend the fish and chip shop for yummy fresh gurnard meal - much cheaper than the restaurants.) Convenience store not far away. Would definitely come back again.

Good central point to explore the Nelson/Tasman area.
Good central point to explore the Nelson/Tasman area. Easy drive to the Abel tasman for a boat trip and beaches. Mapua is lovely. We enjoyed driving to the Willow bank heritage village open day in Wakefield and the lovely landscape on the drive there. Also a great bakery in Wakefield.
Everything you need shopping wise is very close by in Richmond.

The apartment motels are all new, clean and spacious. Linen, kitchen accessories all new!
They are in an excellent position overlooking the bay area, so quiet and peaceful, (though it is under the flight path for Nelson Airport). Each motel has a front porch and a back garden area with seating. Though quite pricey, it's an excellent spot.

Very spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean apartment. Situated conveniently between Nelson Airport and the city centre and within 5 minutes walk of the golden sandy beach.
While there isn't a supermarket nearby, there is a wide selection of eateries in the neighbourhood.
We were impressed with the amenities in our unit large screen TV with Sky, very comfortable lounge seating and well equipped kitchen.
