A beautiful stay in the rural outskirts of Wanaka, only a couple of minutes from the centre. Jess went above and beyond to make the stay perfect for our engagement celebrations, she even managed to get us a last minute table at a nearby restaurant. We were sad to leave and hope to revisit when we’re next in NZ. The breakfast is also incredible. Feeding the alpacas in the morning was an added bonus (optional). Thanks again.

A fabulous apartment with great amenities, quality linen and towels, fab heating eith the fireplace and amazing views of the mountains. The general store/restaurant/bakery/laundry complex within the grounds was fabulous and meant all our needs were catered for. Absolutely recommend and would definitely stay here again.

I liked the room and the bathroom ensuite, the views from...

I liked the room and the bathroom ensuite, the views from the room are really beautiful. I felt very relaxed and could unwind when I was there. When it snowed we lit the fire and it was nice to share a BBQ with host and her other guest. I would go back to stay again. The house is not far from the airport and Luggate Village only a 10 minute drive from town. If you prefer privacy & avoiding the tourists in town then this is the place to stay. There are lots of walks in Wanaka and Luggate and the movie theater in town is a great place to visit on a rainy day.

Great location easy to get to Wanaka but not in the middle...

Great location easy to get to Wanaka but not in the middle of the all the tourists and busyness you get for a long weekend in a holiday spot. Right on the banks of the Clutha River, easy areas to walk and enjoy. Picture perfect location.

Awesome little town with so much to do.

Awesome little town with so much to do. The town itself is small but it has a coupple of nice restaurants and shops. But the surroundings are what makes Wanaka special. A lot of hikes, mountainbiking and other outdoor avtivities. Don't forget to check the cinema Paradiso. One of the cutest cinemas you'll ever visit. You can order cookies before the film and they bake them fresh so you have warm cookies during the break ;-)

We spent two weeks in NZ driving from Queenstown across to the east coast, made our way up to Christchurch then slowly across to Arthur's pass the down the west coast back to Queenstown to fly out, I wish we had another week just to spend at Lake Hawea

Excellent relaxing setting. Beautiful, spacious renovated Stable Room. Great decor and feel. Excellent cleanliness. Beautiful bed linen with comfortable bed. Beautiful breakfasts. Lovely, friendly hosts. Definitely recommend.

So beautiful and peaceful.

So beautiful and peaceful. Relaxed little town with plenty of great restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops to choose from lovely walks on the Lakeshore. so clean and well maintained, we had four nights here and it was not enough, we were very sad to leave.

Lake Hawea is much less crowded and busy than Wanaka.

Lake Hawea is much less crowded and busy than Wanaka. The water is clear and beautiful, the view up the lake is magnificent and there is a great pub and store. There are good bike riding and walking tracks. Who could want for more?

The accommodation is clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. The property also has a big green area for our kid to roam about. The hosts were friendly and gracious. Overall, staying here was a lovely experience!

Wanaka is gorgeous, peaceful, so quiet...and yet so many...

Wanaka is gorgeous, peaceful, so quiet...and yet so many things to do. So many hikes. Water sports. Amazing restaurants, with plenty of choices for vegetarians (and even vegans). Easy to get around. Easy to park. Community events. So far, our favorite place in New Zealand.

Beautiful area to walk or bike in.

Beautiful area to walk or bike in. There are wildlife on the lake. You can sit/sun bathe on the beach albeit a stony beach. Or you can just stroll along the shore area. When the sun is shining it is glorious whatever you chose to do.
