The grounds were incredible! I admittedly only booked our stay at Kia Lodge because of its proximity to the airport ahead of and after early morning / late flight arrivals, but Kia Lodge was the best maintained and nicest hotel we stayed at during our month-long trip to Tanzania! We were very impressed by the beautiful gardens, beautiful pool with a view of Kili and the spacious + comfortable rooms, not to mention the very attentive and helpful staff! I had been a bit concerned because airport hotels don't always have the best facilities and can be loud, but that was the exact opposite of our experience at Kia - instead of planes, you're serenaded by a variety of birds from across the grounds (I think we heard an elephant at one point too) and made for a very relaxing last day of our trip. A big thank you to the wonderful team of staff who arranged perfectly timed transfers & pickups, and offered well balanced meals and a bar to enjoy from the pool.

Convenient and close to Kilimanjaro Airport. Host/owner was so kind and hospitable! She cooked us a meal and arranged transfer to airport for a fee- which was more than fair! Highly recommend if you are in need of a room before heading out on a long flight! We did not sleep there and only used the room for about 6 hours. Highly recommend!!

Taking care that we arrive safely in the middle of the night and he friendliness of our host is a reflection of that. Le Parlour can be safely recommend.

Kilimandžáro hora se nachází 50 km odtud.... Stayed here for one night with a late check out, before heading back home the following evening. Great place to stay if you need to be close to the airport. Catherine was an amazing host, very welcoming and warm and introduced me to her family, we also had some insightful conversations, which was a nice touch. Catherine’s home was spotlessly clean and beautiful, the bed was big and comfortable, very cozy space. There was a fan which was great. I was also pretty sick and Catherine has made me some lovely ginger tea with honey upon my request for my arrival which I will be eternally thankful for! I had a lovely stay at Catherine’s Home, Asante sana! :)

It was perfect for us- we had a flight from Kilimanjaro and we arrived from zanzibar, we had flight delays and changes and Betty the host was so helpful and accommodating, went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, arranged our taxis, and was very available at every hour to answer questions even though our flights kept changing. She was extremely sweet as so was Madam, they made us feel very much at home. There was a nice breakfast and comfortable clean room, exactly what we needed.
