Located just a 1-minute walk from popular Miyagawa Morning Market in the heart of Takayama, Sumiyoshi Ryokan offers homely Japanese-style accommodation in the historic townhouse building. We had a beautiful room looking out over the river and gardens. Our room had a private toilet and wash basin, with access to the public/shared onsen/bath. The hosts were very amenable and friendly. Highly recommend if you want a traditional experience of Japanese hospitality.

Setoguchi poskytuje pokoje v destinaci Tokamači. Jen 15 km odtud se nachází Lyžařský rezort Gala Yuzawa a Naeba Ski Resort je 38 km daleko. Our favourite stay of the trip. Like a time capsule, the outside is rustic and the inside is spacious and intact. Rice paper shoji screens and tatami throughout. The owners are absolutely wonderful and the food was the most varied and generous we had. Definitely order dinner, as well as breakfast, but starve yourself for a few days before you arrive.
