We had an amazing time at Mountain Valley Homestay, the rooms are comfortable with lots of space and a stunning view of the mountains and sunrise. It's in a quiet spot just out of town, we arrived with very little plans but Sonam showed us some gorgeous natural areas and beautiful buildings. Food is available for extra or cooking equipment for self catering. Sonam and his mother are exceptionally kind and generous couldn't recommend more.

The view was amazing. The stay was comfortable and the home clean. Many homestays didn't have parking facility as it is really hard to find any stays with parking but this homestay had and left us enjoying the scenery throughout our stay. Really grateful for the host, they were really friendly.

Hospitality at its best! Sabita ji and Prawesh went above and beyond to provide an amazing experience’ The view from the home is amazing’ you’ll wake up to it!! Table on terrace with a chai by Sabita ji will give a great start to your day! They’ll guide you to the places to see! Suggest food, itinerary and even help you with bike arrangements! I’m coming again to stay at their home!

We visited Tashiling Homestay in April2025, prior to, and after our Himalayas Trekking. We were welcomed by the warmth of Tashi, the house owner, and his very much caring wife and their two adorable children. They are devout Tibetan Buddhist. The floor we were offered to share were literally a whole upstairs with spacious two bedrooms and a wide living room, together with an own bathroom. Everywhere is very clean and pleasantly maintained. And the magnificent view from their terrace must be stressed, during the day, and in the star twinkling night. And the steam train that runs close by. On the first night, we were offered for a local noodle dished called Thukpa, cooked by his wife, with the local beer called HIT, both were just great experiences(with additional payment). Tashi and his wife were attending and we had much talk about the regional life and received many advises during the cause of the meal as we ate. To be honest, I am not a great fan of Masala Tea, but here of course, the land of Darjeeling, it seems everyone drinks the beautiful black tea this land produces, and the tea drinking seems to be woven into as part of their daily life. Just wonderful fragrance and the color of the tea offers a relaxing moment, at the arrival, as well as when the meal is finished. After our return from the Trekking, again, their warm smiles and hot black tea just smoothed out our fatigues and muscle pains from the ups and down of the mountains. They were so caring and every moment, and absolutely an ideal Home stay experience we had. Darjeeling memories were not only the tea garden visits, UNESCO chow chow train, or the Himalayas Trekking, but all became unforgettable with the heartwarming welcomes and caring given from Tashi and his a family at Tashiling Homestay. I have never given 5 stars, but definitely the most memorable stay I had in my Global stays around the world.

Beatiful breakfast served whenever you want, and you can choose between indian and continental.

Host is very kind and helpful. Accomodation is also quite satisfactory.

I recommend to every one for stay here reason being that his service is too good. I stayed here with my family, we were feeling that we are living in our own house, its owner Mr. Yugal is too good in nature. he was always ready to serve better service. Our stay was very near to main market and so cheap (sasta) in Season also so we were very comfort to stay here . Special thanks Mr Yugal for your beautiful, clean stay and your good always..

Host and hospitality both were awesome. Host is very cooperative. You can consult host while at site visit for shortest routes, economical options etc. They are always ready to help. Food was awesome. Good quality home made food at an economical rate. We stayed there for four days and all the time we asked host for meal. Go for it.

It's so good really. Location is good and rooms are best and clean. Cost is reasonable. Nice stay.
