Set a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of Russell during high season, The Sails was a wonderful location to relax and unwind. The area is spectacular and truly worth visiting. Allow at least two nights to explore the area and to enjoy its gentle pace. Truly it's a very idyllic town with oodles of charm. We were made to feel welcome and the accommodation was spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Thankyou to our welcoming hosts Joan and Vivien. If we were Kiwis, we'd be back (and if we do cross the ditch again and head North, we will be back).

The apartment had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay and our hosts were on hand if we needed anything. Fantastic central location and next to the water. Fabulous big bed & spacious room, exceptionally clean, with verandah to watch the world go by and see the sun go down. Right over the road, big store selling everything you might need.
