Such a wonderful experience, it is family owned and they are so kind and helpful! My friend and I stayed for 2 nights, our room was at the very back in a big sized building with 4 or 5 seperate rooms. It was so nice to wake up and go to sleep listening to the sounds of the jungle. You arrive by boat so keep in mind you are not close to town but, there is a restaurant at Casa Maya and the food is amazing, well priced and good portions! You can rent kayaks there for a really great price and the reason we choose to stay here is there are so many things to see and explore in the area. You have to kayak or boat but its such a convenient spot to see all there is to see and if you tell the owner what you are planning they will set it up for you/ get proper tour guide/ tell you how to get there and how far things are. The lancha to and from Maya Casa is a bit pricey but that's just how it is, its the only means of transportation to and from Rio Dulce - Livingston and your gonna pay that anywhere you decide to stay in between those two places. It is worth paying especially if you are staying for 2 or more nights, just buy all you need before you leave town. There is a small convenience store 5 min kayak from Maya Casa and other restaurants too. I was more than happy to stay here and support a family business :) very reasonably priced too!

La Isla Dulce se nachází v destinaci Lívingston a nabízí zahradu a výhled na jezero. Několik kroků od ubytování je Playa de la ribera del río Dulce. We spent almost a month in Guatemala and this was by far the MOST amazing stay and like a mini slice of heaven! The owners are extremely friendly. My husband and I enjoyed the food, amazing lake views, fishing, kayaking, wildlife, and the fun boat ride with their dog. The Villa exceeded our expectations and I wish we stayed more time.

When we arrived we felt like at home. All of their workers there are super nice, have a nice smile and they make everything happen that you feel super nice there. The standard of everything there is just higher than in any other hotel we have been so far in Guatemala. If it comes to the shower, bathroom, bed or any other facilities, it’s just great! Also the small details! And the best thing is really as already mentioned the staff there. This is one of the hotels where you will say in a few years, remember the „El Viajero“ in rio dulce, and you‘ll immediately remember which one it was.

Wonderful hotel right on the waterfront with a view of the castle. The building is very nice and well maintained. The staff is very helpful. Enrique is the best. The menu is simple but suitable for a few days. Rio Dulce is a 5-minute boat ride away. The sunset is amazing.

Casa Nostra se nachází v destinaci Lívingston a poskytuje zahradu, sdílený lounge, terasu a bar. Management and all staff were super friendly, accommodating, and professional. We also loved our view on the large balcony. The hotel restaurant is outstanding, excellent food with a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. We would definitely recommend to others looking to stay in the area.

Hotel La Casa Rosada se nachází v destinaci Lívingston a má zahradu, nekuřácké ubytování a bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. Jen 1 km odtud je Pláž Playa Capitania. It was a little hot and a bit buggy in the shared dormitory but that’s pretty typical across backpacker spots this time of year (March) I think

The loveliest most interesting quarters I've perhaps ever stayed in, also friendly and helpful staff and location close to one of the boat docks

Amatique Bay Hotel se nachází v Izabalu, 30 minut jízdy lodí od Punta de Palma, a nabízí venkovní bazén a restauraci. V rezortu je zdarma dostupné Wi-Fi. Excellent location of beach front, nice pools and restaurants. Courteous staff. We enjoyed very much at this hotel. Thank you.
