Very large, spacious villa with separate bedroom and living/dining/kitchen area. The view was just stunning and the villas are perfectly positioned for sunrise which I managed to wake up early enough to catch and was well worth it. The staff were incredible, super helpful, helped me book and tailor activities to my preference. On the last day, there was a bit of a stress with my driver for the airport being very late - they more than made up for this by taking care of checking me in for my flight, having a staff member wait for me at the airport and even upgraded my seat. Prefect stay and I will return for much longer!

The hotel is beautifully designed and in a beautiful area very close to some picturesque beaches. The staff are very friendly and attentive and make it easy to organise trips and activities so you can experience Sumba. Surf lessons are a lot of fun and the village tour and waterfall tour are both great. Cocktails were really good, as was the food at breakfast. The hotel seems to have a good relationship with the local people and seems to have genuinely benefitted Sumba.

The Sumba Beach House is a perfect beach getaway! The views are amazing, the beach is clean and walkable, the area is not crowded, the ocean is swimmable and you can surf too. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There are lots of activities nearby that the staff can help you arrange if you need. The food was wonderful and fresh. The room is simple yet very comfortable and the bathroom is beautiful. Thanks to Melky, Jeni, and the entire staff!

Our stay at lelewatu was everything we needed. Very tranquil, serene and peaceful. The resort is very secluded, perfect for the getaway we needed. Positives: The views are incredible. Our private villa was stunning and looked after everyday. All staff were so accommodating and hospitable. All of the Indonesian menu items were delicious, especially the beef rendang, which I had 3 times. Also the creamy mushroom pasta was a hit. The hazelnut colada was a perfect sunset cocktail. The pools and beach were great spots to relax and mostly had them to ourselves. Again, the staff went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant.

Leaving Oro House felt like saying goodbye to family – I had to wait a month before I could even talk about it without getting emotional. Oro House was my home in Sumba - I had the most amazing time here. During my week-long stay, I watched sunset at their private beach every single day, and even got to see a double rainbow once! They have this gorgeous secluded beach perfect for sunbathing and swimming. To me, this is the most welcoming place in West Sumba. Siska gave me great travel tips while encouraging me to discover my own adventures. Her family and friends made me feel so cared for - I always had delicious food and ice-cold Bintang beers at the home restaurant. They've got tons of Sumba books at reception too (especially super helpful Sumba-info). I missed here already when i on my flight to Bali. Hope to return someday. So grateful to Siska and the whole family.
