I would like to share my experience at Treasure Rock. It was my first staying in villa’s type hotel and it’s absolutely amazing! The staff is very polite and kind, always here to help, top service! The food is delicious and not very spicy, enormous portions. The director of the hotel is a really nice lady! She organized us a free ride to the waterfalls. The villa is a masterpiece, so stylish! 10 out of 10! Swimming pool is clean and very useful considering big ocean’s weaves. Nearby there is the Yala Park with exotic animals and beautiful mountains. I recommend this villa to those who really wants to stay away from big cities, it’s so calm and peaceful. However words are not enough to describe this magnificent place, you have to discover it by yourself!

Overlooking the pristine southern coast of Sri Lanka, Shangri-La Hambantota is located along the ancient Spice Route in a city steeped in rich history. The resort is home to an 18-hole golf course, an expansive spa and a village that celebrates local Artisans. It also features state of the art fitness facilities, a 30-metre lap pool plus an additional freeform pool, and retail facilities. The staff was very helpful and responsive. They were in touch all the time before arrival, providing all kind of useful information and allowed us to check in, although we arrived around 10AM. We stayed in a double room with two beds, that were big enough for 3 of us. Even though the sea was rough and we could not use the beach much, the swimming pools were a good option and there were always available beds at each one of them. We tried all the restaurants and bars and the food / snacks were good at every place. We loved the fact that there were plenty of wild animals in the resort - monkeys, peacocks, roosters, lizards, etc. There are plenty of sites to visit, but be prepaired for at least one hour drive in each direction. Couple of things that might be improved - the table tenis and the pool accessories were in bad shape and could be renewed more often. The pillows on the big beach beds could be fitted with velcro tape to keep them stuck on the bed and avoid the continuous move and falling.

One of the friendliest hosts I have ever met. Excellent breakfasts and dinners, everything is just like home. Wonderful people. No problems with water, there is a fan and air conditioning. The owner and staff do not impose anything on you beyond what you have agreed on. But at the same time they are always ready to help you if necessary. Imagine that you are very tired of the city bustle, constant noise, annoying and intrusive sellers. You want to escape somewhere to the ends of the earth. Then this is the place for you. Here you will be met by Thaliph, who will give you a room, feed you breakfast and express his readiness to introduce you to the beauty of Sri Lanka. Imagine a beach with fine white sand. Closer to the ocean, the sand is already chocolate color. And not a single tourist around, no one will prevent you from enjoying the beauty of the ocean. When we went to this guest house, we imagined a hotel, fuss, scurrying staff. But, after we checked in, we were left to our own devices. At the same time, everything we needed was given to us as soon as we reminded about ourselves. The breakfasts are excellent. Fish with rice or vegetables, shrimp or fruit on the ocean shore are simply delicious. You will always be given fresh tea, and those who wish will be offered a bottle of beer. By the way, when you go out onto the terrace in front of the house, you are already on the shore and the ocean greets you. We were met at the airport. Upon arrival, the rooms were already ready for occupancy. Everything was clean and tidy. And again, without unnecessary fuss. If you want, they will organize any trip for you along any route: beaches, national parks, Buddhist temples, all the sights of Sri Lanka.

The accommodation provides evening entertainment and a concierge service. I stayed in Jade Green from 26-29th of March with 3 kids. Jade Hotel is close to the airport and is a great stay if you want to visit Yala National park; Birds Resort and Ridiyama park (to see all the animals). Great manager Mr. Claude has helped us find taxis at a fare price and suggested on excursions and relocation. He also offered us a better room when my daughter had some unexpected allergy and even helped us with doctor visit. My children were unable to eat breakfast because the food was too different for European taste and spicy, so Mr. Claude offered us bread, butter, egg and sausage making sure we are fed. He was always there to help us with everything and we felt safe. If you come to stay, you can ask him about excursions and places to visit. Food: we’ve had chicken soups for lunch and had dinners in Jade Green. Food is great; very delicious and not spicy (if you ask so). They can cook our food with all the local tasty herbs which makes the food great. Hotel can help you arrange taxi from the airport. The location was super easy to access although it can be confused with “Bundala flamingo cottages” which is very close to the property nevertheless this property is in the main road so great location as well.
