If you never been to Kalpitiya, it has a sense of being on the outskirts of civilization. Here you stay nestled among the houses of the locals and share the beach with its fishermen. Beside great kite- and windsurfing (and endless beaches of course), there is not a ton of things to do in Kalpitiya. Scuba diving is good, when there is visibility. Dolphin watching is also a possible activity, but quite an expensive one that last a couple of hours. You won’t find any city center with shops, bars and restaurants near, but you can of course visit other resorts and use their facilities. However you should know that you have a very good restaurant on site if you stay at the Sea Sand Resort! This establishment is made up of about 10 small bungalows with a restaurant. The bungalows are quite basic, but very clean and comfortable and represents good value for money. Within about 10 minutes or more on foot, you can reach surf schools and beaches. From my own experience I can promise that you will be very well taken care off if you chose to stay at Sea Sand Resort.

Only 30 minutes away from the busy airport, you arrive through a beautiful alley of mangrove trees to be greeted by the great team of Ging Oya. Imasha, Romesh, Nilantha and all the other staff make you feel right at home. The food is freshly prepared and tastes great. The pool is clean, large and a nice way to cool down. If you like nature and some quiet time, you should definitely plan to stay at Ging Oya. I know, I will again next time!

The place is just amazing.. We wanted to spend a few days to have a rest before another exploring of Sri Lanka… You have to take a boat (5 min) to get to the beach - very good spot for kiting…. We travel with our 8 years old son, so spent couple nice days at the beach. Room was spacious and clean… our special thanks is to Ansalis and Madushan who took an extraordinary care of us and made our stay unforgettable. Bur the whole staff was very friendly and helpful with anything…. THANK YOU 😃

Velmi zajímavý byl výlet za delfíny, který nabízel resort. Je to místo, kde se člověk rád vrátí...

Surfpoint Sri Lanka Kite Village se nachází v destinaci Kalpitiya a nabízí ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, soukromou pláží a sdíleným loungem. Ubytování příjemné, personál taky. Jediné Ubytování, kde jsme k snídani dostali i talíř čerstvého ovoce.

Sandy Edge se nachází v destinaci Kalpitiya a má restauraci, pokojovou službu, bar, zahradu a výhled do zahrady. V ubytování je dostupné bezplatné Wi-Fi a na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. Owner and staff was very kind end helpful. Houses were fresh and clean, beds with mosquito nets. It was nice and comfortable to stay there. 5/5 breakfast was very tasty and there was gluten free option for me:) highly recommend this place

Anawasal nabízí ubytování u laguny a kurzy jógy v Kalpitiya. Na místě je soukromé neplacené parkoviště. We liked Anawasal a lot. Unique place next to sea offering really nice accomodation and great service. You can just take it easy and relax.

Wild Wadi Wilpattu - Villas with private Plunge Pools se nachází v destinaci Wilpattu a nabízí bazén, zahradu, soukromou pláž a výhled na bazén. V ubytování je dostupné bezplatné Wi-Fi. We loved our stay at Wild Wadi Wilpattu. The hosts were so sweet and kind and took such good care of us. Every day they cooked the best home cooked meals for us and the food was SO delicious! We booked the safari with Priyashntha and he was the best guide ever! The villa was in the middle of nature and very close to the entrance of the national park. There were only two jeeps at the entrance when we arrived and we were able to watch the animals completely alone by ourselves, without any crowds. It was such a magical experience. Thank you Wild Wadi Wilpattu team for being such amazing hosts!

Quiet place surrounded by lush greenery, with few rooms only and with beautiful view of the lagoon. Staff are very nice and helpful, food is amazing. Take a dinner with them, no many options in town!
