Our recent stay at the Bonheur at Karambunai, Sabah, was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the serene atmosphere of this stunning retreat, set against the backdrop of lush greenery and the crystal-clear waters of the South China Sea. Impeccable Design and Comfort The villa itself is a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Spacious, tastefully furnished, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could wish for, it offered the ideal sanctuary for relaxation. The highlight, of course, was the private pool. It was perfectly maintained, offering us a private space to unwind while soaking in the breathtaking views of the ocean and the surrounding landscape. The villa's open-plan design made it feel expansive and airy, with large windows allowing natural light to flood the space. Exceptional Service The service provided by the staff was impeccable. From the warm check-in process to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay, we felt genuinely cared for. It was clear that guest satisfaction was their top priority, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay to the fullest. We spent our days lounging by the pool, indulging in delicious meals prepared by the in-house chef, and exploring the nearby beaches.

Amazing owner/manager. We never met in person but they were always answering WhatsApp in one second. (Thank you for everything!) The room was very clean and nice. Cleaning and new towels possible every day. Some cosmetics in the bathroom. A bit small room but for few nights it was ok. Great WiFi and perfect location.

Všechny pokoje v rezortu mají balkon s výhledem na moře a hory.... Friendly staff! They help u anytime! Resort is peaceful and good place for being offline. Food is good! I would recommend this place if you want to take easy and relax. Check weather if u are coming in rainy season by car. We had to leave our rental car at the Dragon Pearl beach because flood was closed the road.

We stayed in the Double Room, which was very comfortable and equipped with a fan—perfect for keeping cool at night. All the essentials are available on-site, including kayak and snorkeling gear rentals, which made exploring the area super convenient. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the food. Sook Peng, Fred’s wife, is not only an incredible cook but also a truly warm and welcoming person. Sharing meals with her was a joy, and her cooking made every meal memorable. There are also cozy hammocks for relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. We couldn't recommend this place more highly—it's a rare gem built with heart and purpose. Oh, I was almost forgetting, both land and transport are organized by the Fred and Sook Peng and everything went super smooth! Terima kasih Fred and Sook Peng!
