Thé location was amazing, the water was calm, no wind like the other side of the island. The farm animals were a great perk . The owner and staff were so welcoming. The sunset with volcano views, near the entrance to the river for kayaking. Beside a happening bar. Mango beach is great too. The toilets and showers were very clean. A magical paradise. The hut was perfectly cute right on the water front.

Rancho Tranquillo se nachází v destinaci Moyogalpa a poskytuje přepážku s turistickými informacemi, nekuřácké ubytování, zahradu, bezplatné Wi-Fi a terasu. Jen 34 km odtud je Sopka Maderas. I had the best time with Tony and Daniela, they were very kind, welcoming and warm. They make you feel part of their family and have so many stories to tell. Daniela makes THE BEST breakfasts (I miss them). If I go back to Ometepe I'm definitely staying with them again. The room was nice and clean and at night you can hear a symphony of crickets and other elements of nature due to being away from the city. A really nice experience. Also, there's a beach right outside the hostel where you can see the most beautiful sunsets. It's a bit far from the center of the town (a 20 min walk) which is not too bad, just something to take into consideration. If you're renting a bike like most people do it's not going to make a difference for you, but I was on foot. Fortunately, Tony was very kind and picked me up on a motorbike at the port and took me back at the end of my stay.

Lidi co jim bambuchy patří a starají se o ně jsou moc fajn. A taky ovoce na zahradě. Do míchaných drinků se hodili hlavně limetko pomeranče, takže jsem se tam taky pěkně zbambuchoval. Jeden večer.

Finca La Magia se nachází v destinaci Ometepe a má bezplatné Wi-Fi, neplacené soukromé parkoviště a výhled na hory. Sopka Maderas se nachází 5,4 km odtud. Absolutely loved staying at Finca La Magia! It's such a beautiful and quiet spot, the staff was incredibly friendly and all facilities and rooms were spot clean. We really enjoyed the outdoor showers and the pets were adorable as well

Rocks Beach se nachází v destinaci Balgue a má bezplatné Wi-Fi, neplacené soukromé parkoviště a výhled na jezero. Sopka Maderas se nachází 12 km odtud. The location is fantastic, right on the shore of the lake and at the same time just a minute walk from the main road and restaurants in Balgue. The owner is very kind and knowledgeable too. There is a functional kitchen, two hammocks, chairs for the shore, candles for the night, and kitchenware too. Really has everything you need.

Hospedaje Bananas se nachází v destinaci Altagracia a má restauraci, sdílenou kuchyň, bar, zahradu, terasu a výhled do zahrady. Na místě je dostupné Wi-Fi zdarma ve všech prostorách. Bananas was great, I highly recommend it, would stay there again.

Hostal Así es mi Tierra se nachází v destinaci Balgue a poskytuje ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm a terasou. Sopka Maderas je 12 km daleko. We loved the relaxed vibe and how everything is set up and decorated, it's really really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting around on our porch immensely! the location is great as it's away from the crazy hostel stuff but not too far with tons of great local places near by. Getting to all parts of the island from Balgue was ideal as well and everywhere you turn you see one of the volcanoes since you're right in between them. If you turn right from the place you get back into the main hostel area in a few minutes (on bike) and if you turn left you find really beautiful roadways and scenery and you can get away from all the "traveler" stuff. Cafe compestre is just down the street (2 min walking) where you can get a really really good cappuccino. My boyfriend also got a haircut across the street haha. The food they made us was so so so good (our favorite if we HAD to pick was probably the burritos, and they make some of the best smoothies on the island). we were also able to get our moto bike and kayaking through the family as well, and everything was a really good price and easy. On day 4 or so we found a hole in the tire which they fixed in just a couple hours and they didn't charge us which we really appreciated. There was a power outage one evening (it happens on the island from time to time) and they set us up with a candlelit dinner and we just loved that (picture below). The family who owns this are truly wonderful people and we felt really at home, possibly too at home as we were supposed to stay 5 nights and we stayed 9 or 10 😂. I usually got up early and worked a few hours in the balcony seating area with a coffee or smoothie, so can confirm working here is also no problem. For context, I was working fully online building a webpage with large files so internet needed to be really functioning well, and it was :)

Always a memorable stay at the Xalli, beautiful scenery, very serene and relaxing space. But above all, the service and staff is stellar! A particular thank you to Noldan and Carlos, their level of service, profesionnalism and attention is equal to none, they really made us feel welcome and their attention to details goes above and beyond. It's always a treat to stay at the Xalli and we cannot wait for our next stay.

Hotel Restaurante Los Cocos se nachází v destinaci Santa Cruz a nabízí ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, sdíleným loungem a terasou. Los Cocos provides fairly basic accommodations but what sets them apart is the quality of the staff. Marlon, his family and his staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating every step of the way. The food is typical Nicaraguan fare cooked beautifully with generous portions. We were always met with smiles. As we are practiced our Spanish, the Los Cocos team were patient and worked with us to ensure that expectations were well communicated. They spent time with us and got to know our children. The space is incredibly safe and the location is excellent, being directly across from playa Santa Cruz and the Saturday market. If you need a taxi, Marlon is more than willing to drive you wherever you need to go in a comfortable pick up truck. He can help you arrange horse tours, vehicle rental, kayak tour, hiking tour and whatever else you can imagine on the island. We have returned to Los Cocos twice, and we couldn't imagine staying at any other hotel on Isla de Ometepe!
