Gordon's Bay is a nice little town, not far from Cape Town or the airport. The setting is spectacular, with mountains and sea, and the beach is protected from major waves. There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The town is safe and the property secure. There is a beautiful drive along the coast towards Betty's Bay, which I highly recommend. There is a colony of African penguins there. Big Skies has a small pool, which we used in the heat of the afternoon. The breakfasts were very good, and there was a decent amount of variety. I enjoy the personal attention of guesthouses and small hotels, and Kobus and Irene were excellent hosts. Conversation at breakfast and the bar with them and other guests was enjoyable. Parking is inside the property gates and is secure.

This Boutique hotel is nicely located in Gordon's Bay with an absolutely stunning view of the ocean and an ideal infinity pool. Scrumptious breakfast is served of the deck overlooking the ocean. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have very comfortable beds and pillows - I usually struggle to sleep the first two nights in a strange place but here I slept like a baby!
