This was one of our favourite B&Bs ever and that is saying a lot since we travel quite a bit. Our room was cozy and comfy. But what made this stay exceptional were our hosts Nicola and Martin. Nicola in particular is very charming and helpful with giving us great ideas of places to visit in the area. Martin made exceptional breakfasts every morning for us.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed meeting Liz. The house itself is beautiful, and the location and parking was very convenient. There was a booklet in the room that was filled with information about the history of the house, the local area, routes to take walks around the area, and much more. The room was surprisingly quiet, even with a main road not far away. The breakfast was very good, and cooked to order.

Good central location in town. Walking distance from the railway station (10-15 minutes). During my stay it was abnormally cold weather, but the owner solved that by offering me an extra electrical radiator. Excellent full Scottish Breakfast!

The last hotel on the A9, The Ferry Inn at Scrabster is newly renovated and has wonderful sea views. Just north of Thurso, Scrabster Harbour is the gateway to the Orkney Islands.

We loved our brief stay at Burnside cottage. Close to the ferry at Gills Bay for the next morning. Kacey was so welcoming & the food amongst the best we sampled throughout our stay in Scotland! Even when my daughter left her favourite toy behind, Kacey posted it on to us! Thoughtful & great customer service.
