Mary (who lives in and operates the B&B) was incredibly nice and helpful, going above and beyond. She was happy to indulge my talkative nature, had advice on hiking on Mt Taranaki, and made cookies/biscuits and hot chocolate. The room was cosy and felt like home, there was a fireplace with comfy chairs, and the garden was well-kept and verdant. Excellent location too. Quiet suburban neighborhood, just 15-20 minutes' drive from New Plymouth, on easy roads. The southeastern tracks in Egmont National Park (Dawson Falls etc.) are 40 minutes away.

Super friendly hosts who showed us around their herb garden and explained lots about the lavender farm and we were able to walk around the grounds. Kitchenette equipment meant we could cook meals which was a bonus, and TV etc. helped in the wet weather. Lovely cat on the property (but not in the studio) as well which we loved. Testers for the lavender products were so cute!

This was the best accommodation in all of NZ! It was idyllic, clean and beautiful. The hosts Casey and Stephen are wonderful people and the garden is true paradise. They provide you with eggs and honey from their own animals and allow to take some veggies from the garden. The location is quiet and peaceful. you can even see the volcano from the front porch! I felt extremely safe and welcome here!

What a gorgeous cosy and comfortable cottage. Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. From the normal tea, coffee, sugar plus bread, butter, 3 different cereals, bacon and fresh eggs (from their free range friendly greens), a loaf of bread, 1 ltr milk, plus plus plus! Will definitely be back if we're ever back in the area
