We had an amazing two-night stay at City on a Hill near Fredericksburg. The serene surroundings allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in nature, and the cabin provided a cozy retreat. The highlight was undoubtedly the jacuzzi – a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The presence of friendly animals added a charming touch, making our experience truly delightful. One can see from the photos that this room is decorated with a lot of character. It was quite fun and made us feel that we were indeed on holiday in Texas. I believe that it is most suited for couples; I was travelling with my adult daughter, so the bed could have been bigger. It is so centrally located but sits a floor up, and is set back from the busy street. This meant that is was very quiet. And the room was well equipped with proper mugs for our morning tea.

The cottage was absolutely perfect. Loved the location and how secluded it was. It was very clean and owner has very nice and accommodating. The house had everything you need to make you feel at home. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting on the porch just listing to nature. There was no tv which was fine with us. It was nice to disconnect. The location was about 8 to 10 minutes from Main St and lots of wineries which we enjoyed. We will definitely be back in the fall.
