We enjoyed a lovely little stay with Richie for four nights in B&B Chiarina in Valle Di Muggio a small, quaint and quite little town in the Ticino Region. The hospitality, warmth and reception that we have received from Richie is something we had never even experienced before in our homeland as well. I was in Mendrisio for work and happened to come across Richie's beautiful property on Booking.com and as highly as his property is spoken of already here are some of the many things that made staying with Richie truly a gratifying experience- 1) Richie was kind to pick us up from Mendrisio Stazione and drove us down to his beautiful property in Muggio Paise. 2) The property reeks of a beautiful medieval vibe, with cobbled stone flooring, Ticino paintings, wooden fire place and a spectacular view of the Ticino peaks topping it all off from the room. 3) You get to enjoy an excellent breakfast spread fresh from the Ticino Farms- Eggs, meats,cheese, breads, croissant, fruits, yoghurt, cereals, juices, coffee, and the most incredible home-made marmalade and pies baked by his wife. 4) The property is very conveniently located 2 minutes away from the Muggio Paise bus station.Richie very kindly had arranged for a Ticino Pass for us that helped us explore some beautiful places like Lugano, Locarno, Asccona, Bellinzona. 5) The property is brilliantly maintained with regular housekeeping service. Feel free to enjoy the best of swiss toffee, coffee, and chocolates at B&B Chiarina. Life does reward one with incredible encounters, and meeting Richie was nothing short of an exceptional experience of seeing grace, kindness, humility, and generosity up close.

Every space is tastefully decorated and radiates a unique charm. In the mornings, we were spoiled with a generous breakfast, full of delicious local products and freshly baked bread. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the warm and genuine welcome from our host, Sandra. For us, it truly felt like coming home. Thank you – we would love to return!

The location is amazing, and the organisation is very well done. Everything is super comfortable and nice and clean. Drinks and food are available for everyone.

Everything was great. Newly refurbished accommodation. Great host and everything was communicated well in advance. Highly recommend if you are visiting Ticino and looking for an idyllic spot in the mountains.

The town is beautiful and is only a short transit to Morcote and other heritage listed locations in the Lugano region. The owner of the apartments is a brilliant host. The service is personal, helpful, and friendly while allowing full privacy for guests. The rooms are clean and very spacious with nice views.

The train station is 5 minutes away. To Milano it is only one hour by train. I slept really good. A place to feel home.

A truly bright and cheerful stay. Airy and full of light. I felt happy just walking in the door. The decorations are quirky and delightful, and the food was amazing.The room was large, clean, and comfortable. My dog was also made welcome.

Hotel Garni Centro se nachází v destinaci Chiasso a nabízí pokoje s výhledem na město. Jen 900 metrů odtud je Chiasso vlakové nádraží. This hotel is so cute and old-school in the best way! Just the style of it, the rooms and facilities are not old but updated and very modern. I loved the way it looked from the outside and the rooms are also in that style. The bed was large and comfy and everything was impeccably clean. You receive a welcome beverage from the fridge that you could drink on the big roof terrace after arrival to relax a bit. The breakfast was delicious and filling, with some different croissants and slices of bread, marmalade and a bit of cheese, coffee, juice and yoghurt. The best thing was the staff who were the friendliest receptionists I ever met. They gave so much advice on what to do and where to go, were patient with my Italian but didnt simply switch to English, which I heard they used perfectly with other guests. They also gave me a train ticket to use for free in Switzerland for two days, which was amazing! I went to Como for one night, which is only a 5 min train ride and then to Lugano in the morning of the next day while I left my luggage in the hotel. I preferred Lugano, but this hotel is perfectly located to explore both sides.
