The new argentinian owner, Gonzalo, is fully dedicated to making this place an unforgettable experience for everyone. I especially appreciated all the eco-friendly touches he added to the main building. He is very consciencious and knows Costa Rica inside out. And If you don't usually like bunk beds, give this a try: the high wooden roof make the rooms feel very spacious, and the upper bunk is next to the windows screen and the jungle outside, with a net, privacy curtain, reading light and fan. Top confort. The general vibes of the hostel were chill, and guests were all happy to extend their stay. As a plus, the best grocery store in the region is just down the road.

This place is fantastic! Highly recommend it. Sylvio is a great host, and very attentive. The pool was ideal with our kids 5+9 years. Good to know that the restaurant is temporarily closed but will open again in a couple of months. This was no issue for us, as we enjoyed the communal kitchen very much!

The host Inge is very friendly and accommodating. She also made arrangements for a guided night nature hike nearby that was very interesting and adventurous. The breakfast was abundant and delicious! I look forward to returning for horseback riding in the near future.

The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious; exactly as depicted. You get your own clothesline to dry your clothes outside, there is a well-equipped outdoor kitchen and a pool in great condition. Also, there is a free laundry service EVERY day, you will find your clothes folded up tidely on your bed when you come back from your day trip. The hosts, Nadia and Tonet, are very friendly and helpful, for example they hooked us up with a trusted tuk-tuk driver for tranfers.

This place is fantastic and brings a great experience in the middle of the jungle. Special points to the breakfast, which is amazing, made with care and is attentive to dietary restrictions. My girlfriend has gluten intolerance and they provided great adaptations to the menu just for her. The location has great beaches and restaurants nearby, but we recommend having a rented car to make your experience smoother. If you're looking for a place to connect with nature without giving up comfort, this is the perfect choice. Laurie and Wade are great hosts, easily available and always willing to help. We definitely recommend staying here and will hopefully come back in the future to stay more than four nights!
