This property has been beautifully renovated and was very clean and comfortable. The family were very welcoming and kind. Breakfast was brought to our room and was delicious. Verdun is a good stop off point on the way to or from eurotunnel. Secure parking on site was great. Walkable to nearby supermarkets. Loved the set of dominoes in the drawer!

What a beautiful place to stay The grounds are stunning and obviously well taken care of. Our room was spacious with a fabulous bath and really comfortable bed. Breakfast was also fantastic. Florence and Sebastian were very welcoming. Thank you!

We arrived early and were delighted to find Isabel at home - she greeted us warmly and showed us our room😄 The room was interestingly furnished/decorated - the bathroom too was attractive and with good towels!! Isabel gave us a short history of to old town and with the guide we had an excellent explore! The breakfast was exceptional - fresh fruit - fresh bread - coffee - fresh fruit juice - homemade jams and cashew nut nibbles!! - there was also an attractive dish with a range of dried fruits and nuts - maybe more !!

If you want to try something different to a hotel - this is it. The hostess was great. She speaks English but still offers a very authentic French experience. The room and living area are not only comfortable, clean and very spacious, but also beautiful. It's an old building - I think an old military barracks, but beautifully restored. Breakfast was also authentically French. This means not huge amounts of food, but smaller amounts of very high quality food - think fresh strawberries from the garden, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh baguette, fresh croissants, home made jam, French butter, excellent coffee etc...

It is worth every penny just to have breakfast. Homemade yogurt, 3 homemade jams, fruit, bread, muesli, dried fruit, Madelaines from the south of France and more. It is easy to walk into town for dinner. We had a very nice dinner on Sunday. Monday was a bit trickier and many places were closed. There is parking on site. Trust your driving program when you go. You have to turn down a road that looks like a car repair shop. But look to the end of the road and you will see the site. Ideally situated to tour the Verdun historical sites. The site is quiet.
