Didn't check in till very late so missed a chance to try the pub but the lady was very friendly. Lovely room, clean and had everything you need, plus biscuits 😁 couldn't fault it

The host kindly checked us in at 10:30pm as our drive took longer than expected. We had good communication with Sarah before arriving at the property and the B&B was great. We were shown to our room and given some fresh milk for a cup of tea (which was much needed after a long drive). The room was pre-heated for us and the bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was delicious and very nicely set out. There were fresh juices, fresh bread, granola, greek yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, selection of jams and cereal. The B&B was everything we could've asked for and more. Although we only stayed for one night, it is also in a great location when exploring the south of the Peak District. Would highly recommend!

John was a wonderful host. He described places near the property that we might enjoy. The shower was clean and the temp and pressure were great. The bed was quite comfortable and the blanket was very warm. The WiFi was strong and there were ample outlets to charge our phones and other devices. Breakfast was fresh and outstanding! We couldn’t ask for much more.

Fridge in room with Prosecco was a lovely surprise also muffins. We even had a dual control electric blanket. There’s also a fan and extra heater in room if you need either. Shower is great, nice and hot. Lots of choice for breakfast, yoghurt, fruit, malt loaf, croissants, cereal, toast, crumpets and more. Theres also a beautiful lounge to relax in. Michael is such a great host and lovely company. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Katrina and Tim were very friendly and welcoming. They have a lovely cottage which was a delight to stay in. A great location to access the Peak District. Room was warm and comfortable.

From the moment we walked through the door to the minute we left we had excellent service. The staff is both friendly and helpful. I have to give special mention to Diane. She made us feel like house guests, not like paying customers. She is a gem, and such a hard worker. Breakfast was quick and delicious, and covered anything we would like. Our room was lovely, and oh-so-comfy. Plenty of parking and a central location helped to make it perfect. We loved Castleton, and would return to the Bull's Head in a heartbeat. Can't wait!
