Also, if you're trying public transport, the travel/bus/information centre is just by the lake in front of Polrudden. Lorraine & John are lovely and very helpful. Large supermarkets are just a few minutes' walk. Great for your food shop. The main kitchen and dining area has everything you need. Each room has individual containers for your food storage in fridge etc. En-suite room clean, bright and very comfortable. We had a great week and fantastic weather. Really enjoyed our stay.

The food was excellent. The rooms were comfortable. There was a lounge with games, sofas, and a large TV, but we were too busy to take advantage of it. Eric, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. He got us everything we asked for. The water was very soft, so only a small amount of soap or shampoo was needed. It didn't feel like we were intruding in someone's home. It felt more like a mini hotel with a fair amount of privacy for coming and going. Also, we had a ground floor room where we didn't have to drag suitcases up, which is hard being older adults. The stay was very enjoyable.

Great views from the breakfast room that could also be used later in the day for takeaways. Continental breakfast very good with local foods (cheese, butter, bran cakes etc) to try . All the facilities you need in the room including small fridge. Water and Orkney fudge a nice touch. A B&B as you would expect and as I remember before emigrating.

The host(s) are lovely, the breakfast was delicious, the room was great. It had a really good combination of privacy in our room as well as comfortable common areas that made it feel like we were just staying with the family. Nicky was able to accommodate us for the guided tour (a later start time) and I'm so glad it worked out - the tour was one of my favorite parts of the overall trip to Scotland.

Beautiful peaceful setting with stunning views over the Orkney countryside. The flat was really well appointed with loads of thoughtful extras. Love the way Rob, the wonderful host, has embraced sustainability so positively.

The location at less than 2 minutes from Stromness and probably 5 to the Stennes standing stones is PERFECT. The room was huge, all the house is very big, cute and clean. Deborah is very very welcoming and the breakfast she prepared was delicious!

The hosts were amazing. The location was stunning and still convenient. Breakfast was superb and both Chris and Stephan were so welcoming, accommodating and friendly.
