This place is the best. I highly recommend staying here for your visit to Petra. They only have a few rooms, so they treat each of their guests like family. I highly recommend the dinner and the lunch boxes. It's about the same price or cheaper than what you find on the streets, but it is so much more convenient and peaceful. It is a short 10-minute walk from the Petra visitor center. Remember to bring JOD. They don't accept credit card, but there is an ATM by the visitor center. We have two kids under 12 and they both ate free! We wanted to start Petra at 6 AM, so they prepared our lunch boxes for us the night before so they'd be waiting for us on our way. This really helped us beat the heat and the crowds. Our family was able to hike all the way to the Treasury and the monastery before it got hot. Pro tip: If you want the dinner (which you do) you should let them know at least a couple of hours before you want it.

The apartment is so close to Petra, very nice views to the city. Faisal is a really nice and flexible guy and helped us in everything we need. If I come back to Petra for sure I will stay in his place again.

If you want to get a feel for how the locals live and ride beautiful Arabian horses in the surrounding area, I recommend staying with Saddam.

I cannot be more grateful to Mohammad for the great stay I had at his place, which more than a hotel is like feeling at home, very clean, nice and cozy, good Wifi, surrounded by super friendly and helpful people. From the moment I booked, Moha's attention was 100%, he took me everywhere in his vehicle, guided me through incredible routes to Petra, he invited me to experience a Jordanian wedding celebration and we went to see the sunset from where only locals know and I had several very good dinners made by his mother, delightful! Located within the village of the original Beduin inhabitants of Petra, it is perfectly placed for tours into the ruins. Finally the host family is just generally lovely and very helpful.
