Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

A Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Service We had a fantastic stay at Aqua Blue Hotel in Arugam Bay. The hospitality was outstanding, particularly Basheer, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to assist us with any requests. Our room was spotless and comfortable, equipped with air conditioning, which was a relief after a day in the sun. We also loved the hammock and the very comfy outdoor chairs—perfect for relaxing. The garden looked lovely, adding a peaceful ambiance to the whole place. The breakfast, prepared by the two lovely ladies at the hotel, was absolutely delicious. It was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to start our day. Overall, Aqua Blue Hotel offers great value for money with its clean accommodations, friendly service, and tasty breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Arugam Bay.

We had a lovely 3 week stay at Forcus. The facilities are modern and well maintained, with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom with open shower, and a beautiful outdoor area with the garden to enjoy. The staff is amazing! Kevin and the rest of the crew work tireless to make sure we have everything we need. They do roomcleaning whenever we want, and help us with several services like laundry, bike rental, tuktuk, and taxi transport. When theyre not helping us, they attend to the garden to keep it beautiful. We loved the breakfast! They offer a variation of different food. Banana pancakes was our favourite. Locations is great, if you want to be close to everything. Some noise from close bars is expected, but it didnt bother us.

The place feels private and is run by a lovely family who are so welcoming, kind, and accommodating - they really made us feel at home. The location is ideal if you want to be slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Arugam Bay, while still being just an easy walk into the main area. Would highly recommend!

The Room & Amenities: The room was fantastic—very spacious,spotlessly clean, and designed with comfort in mind. It was equipped with all the required amenities, and everything was in great working order. It truly felt like a home away from home. Overall Experience: I can't fault this place.For the comfort, space, and serene atmosphere, it offers incredible value. I would gladly give it a perfect 10 out of 10 for the room and overall experience. It’s a gem that provides a quiet, convenient, and comfortable base for your Arugam Bay adventures. I will definitely be returning on my next trip!

A peaceful garden paradise near the surf! Vinka’s place is a little piece of quiet garden paradise just a short walk from the surf spot! I loved the peaceful atmosphere, the lush garden, and how comfortable and clean the cabanas were. Vinka was super helpful and kind throughout my stay — always available if I needed anything. Everything was perfect, and I felt totally at home. I’ll definitely come back one day. Highly recommended for surfers and nature lovers alike!

Tucked along a quiet street. 3 minute walk to beach/20 minute walk to beginner surf. Great choice of English or Sri Lankan breakfast. Lots of restaurants nearby. Super cool staff. Very spacious rooms and very nice pool in the back. Upscale hostel vibe. Definitely a winner!

The host is the best guy, very accommodating, happy, lovely, genuine and nothing is ever too much to ask. He helped organise surf boards for us and provided us with many excellent local recommendations. The location is incredible, very close to the beach (where you can also surf) and all the restaurants and shops. The homestay is peaceful and homely with a lovely outdoor area. Breakfast is amazing and different every morning which is really appreciated. He offers food for lunch and dinner which we had and it was delicious and a great opportunity to try genuine local food. He also provides a tuktuk for hire and excellent laundry service for great value. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a large fan. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, it has been the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka and we cannot wait to return to stay here in the future.
