A Perfect Start to Our Sri Lanka Adventure – Moni Farmhouse, Wilpattu Our stay at Moni Farmhouse in Wilpattu was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Buddika, who managed our transfers, meals, accommodation, and safari experience with incredible professionalism and kindness. He personally arranged our pick-up from Negombo, coordinated the drive to Wilpattu, and took care of every detail of our stay. The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. We are deeply grateful to Buddika for his warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Thanks to him, our journey through Sri Lanka started in the best possible way. Highly recommended!

Wilpattu Mookalan Resort se nachází v destinaci Habawewa a má zahradu, nekuřácké ubytování a bezplatné Wi-Fi. Jen 39 km odtud je Kumbichchan Kulama Tank. Great location. Nicely tucked away from the road amongst the forest. Lots of birds including jungle fowl to watch from the patio. Walk in from the road via a pathway. They met us to help carry our bags. Dinner was traditional Sri Lankan curry - vegetarian or chicken. Followed by yoghurt and fruit for dessert. Plenty of food, not spicy and was yummy. Other options for dinner were fried rice or vegetable noodles. Breakfast was packed for us for the following day safari. 2 egg sandwiches, a banana, yoghurt and water. Sufficient for the half day. The best part is the very close lake and dirt road. We went for a walk with binoculars and saw deer, langurs, crocodile, hornbills and lots of other birds and lizards too. A much better, slower paced experience and one not to miss. We booked a half day tour with the host. In hindsight we would have booked a different tour. Pillows weren't overly comfortable but was OK for 1 night.

The owners, Leo and Wanda, couldn’t do enough to help our stay go smoothly. They helped shape are itinerary and suggestions additions that were fantastic, eg Sri Lankan dance show at the cultural centre, organising a fabulous yoga teacher, as well as great safari. Relaxed and happy vibe to the place with lovely pool area.

Dobrá lokalita na výlety, přístup provozujícího a personálu, možnost večeřet na místě. Mají dobré večeře. Super mít bazén k dispozici. Velkým plusem byla opravdu ochota personálu a domluvení soukromého transferu, protože jsme nemohli sehnat jiného řidiče.. byl tu státní svátek.

Very nice family business. We felt like being home. This people take great care of their guests. The owner Nilukshan is big professional together with staff of the accomodation. They prepared the best meals and helped us to organize perfect tour in Anradhapura and Mihintale where we learnt a lot of things about local culture. Our room was very clean and spacious. At the end of our stay Nilukshan drove us to different city and told us a lot of interesting things about Sri Lanka on the way there. The whole experience was simly unforgettable. Thank you for your care and hospitality.

Anuradhapura Railway Station je 4,2 km daleko.... Lovely spacious rooms, a small but cosy swimming pool. They prepare excellent Sri Lankan dinner on demand. No noise.

Jídlo od hostitele bylo pestré a výborné. Vždy něco nového. Byli jsme rádi, že nabízejí místní dobroty a vždy bylo dost jídla. Při brzké návštěvě safari jsme snídani odložili až na poledne po návratu.

Sunhill Lake Tourist Rest se nachází v atraktivní lokalitě v centru města Anuradhápura a nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách a zahradu. The loveliest stay! The host family are so kind and helped us with laundry, arranging a great guide for the ancient city and when our tuk tuk nearly broke down. The room is large and super comfortable and the location is great, in the centre of town but tucked away next to a beautiful lake with amazing bird life. Great value!
