Berty and Hilda are the most considerate and caring hosts ever. They really go out of their way to make sure you get the most out of your stay in Jaffna. They arranged for a tuk tuk to pick me up from the bus station, they helped me plan my itinerary, they provide a delicious breakfast, they gave me a tasty packed breakfast when I left early to catch a train, etc. etc. the room and bathroom was large, clean and cool I’m really pleased that I chose to stay there and do so again in the future.

We had such a wonderful stay at Nallarun illam! My husband, two children and I shared a family room, and we had ample space and ample air conditioning. The room is off of a shared kitchen/lounge space and a balcony, which was really nice for preparing snacks and relaxing. Everything was very clean and nicely situated. The biggest highlight of this place was our wonderful hosts. The host family could not have been more gracious. We happened to be in Jaffna for the new year, and they took us under their wing, sharing their traditions (including treats, dressing, a visit to the temple and fireworks at night). Their sweet kids played with our kids and, all in all, they made us feel completely at home in this beautiful city. We're very grateful for their generosity and hospitality and would absolutely recommend this place to everyone.

I really liked that the room service. The parking was easy. The food was fantastic and very fast to arrive. It is the best place to stay in Jaffna

Raj’s place is an excellent base for a few days in Jaffna. Raj is an outstanding host—very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The rooms are simple, clean, and have great air conditioning. They also include a hot shower with excellent water pressure. The location is a five-minute walk to a few local restaurants or about a 25-minute walk (or a short drive) to Jaffna town. The place is a lovely, relaxing, and peaceful spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast is available for an additional 900 LKR per person. The breakfast is excellent—a very generous spread of authentic cuisine that changes daily. We thoroughly enjoyed Raj’s hospitality and would definitely return if we’re in Jaffna again.
