Located in Jiufen, 34 km from Taipei, Sunshine B&B features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. Staff was WONDERFUL. So helpful, kind, and accommodating. They were always available to give us helpful tips and directions and even assisted us getting settled into an uber when we departed. The property itself is perfectly located. Just a minute walk from the bus stop and less than five minutes from the the Old Street. You feel like you're right in the heart of the neighborhood, but in a quiet and peaceful spot just away from the crowds. We chose a room with a sea view and it is exactly as beautiful as you've seen in photos. The room itself was a perfect size with a cool, industrial design. We were there on a particularly cold and rainy couple of days, but the bed was so warm and cozy to snuggle into. Breakfast was simple, well-balanced, and filling and our hostess was kind enough to make me something separate to accommodate a vegetarian diet. Be mindful that there are stairs, but nothing too taxing.

Every detail was thoughtfully curated, and the atmosphere was truly unique.

He helped us navigate to the closet stop for an Uber drop and then ran out to meet us with umbrellas and help us get our luggage in. It was pouring rain for the whole two days we visited and he let us borrow umbrellas and gave us tips on what to do. Super helpful and friendly. He showed our children his bunnies and turtle, which was so sweet. The room was great! Everything we needed and very clean. There was a cute little loft with you for the kids which was a cute surprise. He left breakfast outside the room and made everything so easy. It was a short walk to the Jiufen old street. Maybe ten minutes walk to the famous amei tea house. I would definitely recommend this spot for a scenic, homey get away.

We only stayed for one night, in the mountain view room, and we regretted not having booked a few more nights. Amazing place to stay, very helpful and friendly staff, great location, aesthetic ambience. Highly recommend!

This was our first stop in a new country and we tried to catch a bus and the sweet staff got us one with no problem with google translate. 😁 was very thankful

It was a few stairs up from jiufen old street, but not too tiring of a climb, about 5mins walk up. The place has a beautiful view of the mountain, it has a very authentic feel to it, its so pretty just like jiufen! It has all the amenities you need, super high tech too (auto door locks to enter with code, shoe warmer, room heater, aircon, bidet, automatic dustbin etc). It was raining mostly rainy when my partner and i stayed in jiufen, but thanks to this place, we were always warm and comfortable! The bed was so comfy!!! 👍🏼 Apart from the place, the hosts were the best!! Super friendly and helpful, they reached out to me 1 day before my stay with them to make sure i know my way to the stay. They even helped us to find the best/fastest routes to jiufen since i was travelling from hualien, they even checked the trains/buses in real time and gave us all the details we needed, it made our travel to jiufen so easy! On the last day we had to check out at 5am for an early flight, they even helped us book an uber and walked us out to make sure we got on the uber safely. They made our stay super comfortable, felt like i was staying with family. :) We are definitely coming back if we ever visit jiufen again.

The room is spotless and has a lovely balcony. Mrs. Liu was a very nice lady and responded to messages promptly. The room had a dehumidifier, which was very helpful on rainy days.
