Van der Stel Manor is situated in a residential area, 5 minutes' drive from the centre of Stellenbosch. The restored Cape Dutch home features a garden and outdoor pool. The accommodation was warm and inviting with lovely decor and high end finishes. The room was comfortable and clean with everything one would need to enjoy the stay. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, setting us up for the day. The pool area was an added bonus. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Petra guided us on places to visit, which didn't disappoint. The accommodation is in a quiet location but easy walking into Stellenbosch; although we often got a taxi back without effort. I would highly recommend this accommodation and look forward to returning.

Upon arrival we felt a sense of belonging. Warmly welcomed by Limo and the host that checked in with us prior. Upon entering you are captured with tranquility and an ambiance as if you're about to have a Spa treatment. Everything was carefully yet meticulously thought through from Interior decor design to Architectural composition, all very well composed throughout. We will definitely be back to experience sundowners and sunsoaking surrounded with expansive views and a touch of nature. Very well located walking distance to nature and well renowned wine estate on your doorstep. Breakfast was amazing and catered for all.

Location is also great, right between Leeu Estate and Mont Rochelle and only 15 minutes walk to the high street.

An absolutely wonderful wine farm, bit of an untalked about gem to be honest.. just how we like, unpretentious, good fun tasting with the team at the tasting room, real passion. The farm shop is classic. The Italian twist we had no idea but it works! Nothing fancy just perfect. All the staff are happy. Charne the host at the main Manor House was so welcoming and always on hand when we needed things, as were all the ladies. It’s so relaxing with an old world charm and spotlessly clean. Dinner is not served in the Manor so on the first evening we went to NOOP in town. Excellent. The second evening Charne had lasagnes brought up from the restaurant. There is an honesty bar and the wines are 10/10. Chilled out, no T.V’s just how life used to be. My daughter loved the donkeys. Big up to everyone at this place. We will be back :)

Breakfast was delicious, we were treated like royals. Very nice and clean rooms, the communal areas were very stylish and well maintained. We couldn’t ask for more and will definitely come back.
