Luz d'Sol - Residencial Familiar offers air-conditioned accommodation in Pombas. With sea views, this accommodation features a terrace. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. It is a 3-storey building run by a very welcoming family. The breakfast is the best we have tasted in the whole island, with a lot of quantity and the quality was excellent (they made homemade sponge cake!!). The host family are very nice, friendly and welcoming. They are learning many languages, and try to speak to you in your own language. The room was clean, air-conditioned, and brand new (in fact, they are working on the upper floor to make more rooms). It is without a doubt, our most recommended stay in Cape Verde!!!

Very friendly and helpful host, Due to a delayed flight Jan let us change our booking very obligingly. He gave us great tips for hikes and restaurants. The nice and clean room was even cleaned during our short stay. A nice terrace was available too. Anytime again!

The host Evandro is wonderful, makes you feel welcome, answers to all your questions, and gives good advice if we ask. Our host organized the trasport from and to Porto Novo. Amelia prepares a wonderful breakfast. The place is great, it is full of history, it is beautifully decorated with vintage furniture that belonged to the family, Evandro will tell you the history if you ask. The bed is confortable, the place is spotless clean. The sunsets at the terrace are amazing, as well as gazing at the starts in the evening before bedtime. I strongly recommend this place to stay, and I will come back.

Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the mountain and garden. Perfect location in Ponta do Sol next to the small fishing harbor The room was spacious with comfortable bed and sofa and beautiful view on the ocean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good as well.

The best part about Casa Cavoquinho is the location! Waking up to a view of the Paúl Valley is indescribable and so beautiful to experience. It’s like something out of a film. A true gem. You’re also close to some great hikes. The rooms are a bit more simple, but the property is clean and well-maintained. Great service and communication from the staff all around. The breakfast and dinner they serve is also delicious. I would come back here and recommend this place to friends.

The villa consists of 3 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a coffee machine, and 3 bathrooms with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer. Towels and bed linen are offered in the villa. The property has an outdoor dining area. We were met by Lieve at the Ferry Terminal, she arranged a rental car and guided us to the villa (10 minutes from the Ferry Terminal). Lieve and Geert went out of there way to make our stay as comfortable as possibe. The Villa has been built by them with an eye for detail. The villa is very spacious, 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a toilet/bath room, in two of these rooms next to the double beds bunkbeds for two kids. In living room an additional seperate toilet on top. Also a spacious kitchen with everything you need. The swimming pool is covered every evening so it stays warm (28 Celsius). Very important in winter months, we were at some other places where swimming was only for the brave (24 C) or even unbarable (20 C).

The accommodation is non-smoking. Casa BB&Djassi felt like home - with big thanks to the ladies who take amazing care of the house and their guests, Talyna, Djenny and Ana. The rooms are comfortable, the location great and it was just a happy place to be. I’m not the only one who extended my stay while there! Communication was also excellent - with the team accommodating my request for good internet in my room, as well as providing multiple options to work across the house. I’ll definitely be back. David and the girls will go out of their way to help you have a nice stay. I spent four nights there, and it was a perfect base to explore the island from, and a relaxing place to return to after a long day of hiking. Highly recommended.
