Matei
The spacious holiday home comes with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace with sea views. A private entrance leads guests into the holiday home, where they can enjoy some wine or champagne and fruits. The property has an outdoor dining area. Walking in to Lomani was truly a "WOW" moment and you instantly fall in love. Lomani has the most incredible view up on the hill of the Somosomo Straight right from it's own pool, it honestly doesn't feel real! We cooked our own breakfast in the large kitchen, loved roaming the grounds to find fruits (like pineapples) and tropical flowers. The wifi and Netflix are awesome additions too, but we just found ourselves enjoying switching off and gazing into the stunning sunsets and showered under the stars. Knox was so helpful and picked us up from the ferry, drove us to the shops for supplies, and lots of activities, including the beautiful Bouma falls and we also snorkelled the insanely colourful rainbow reef (amazing dive shop just down the road!). Our experience was enriched greatly by Knox and we enjoyed our time getting to know him. Saskia is also a fabulous host who communicated everything we needed to know before our stay. Glass bottom kayaks and snorkel gear are also available but sadly we ran out of time to use them. There are so many activities to chose from, or equally opportunities to just relax, recharge, and connect with nature and each other. Knox even worked tirelessly all day to cook us a traditional Lovo on our final night at Lomani, which was so delicious and very memorable. It rained quite heavily during our time but it didn't dampen our experience at all. Lomani is a quaint cottage that feels cosy and spacious like home (but with ten times more incredible views). There is something deeply special about Lomani and we hope to return one day but stay longer than three nights. Taveuni is a tranquil, quiet, lush garden island teaming with wildlife, fruit, flowers and creatures (like frogs and geckos), along with such kind hearted people. Unlike anywhere we have ever been before. We are from a busy city and loved how Taveuni is the opposite.
Matei
Maravu Taveuni Lodge is 3 minutes’ drive from the Matei Village and 5 minutes’ drive from boats to the Rainbow Reef, a further 25-minute trip away. Taveuni Lodge is 20 km from the famous Bouma Waterfalls. The place is stunning and really worth the price but the precious thing is the amazing stuff
Matei
Facing the seafront in Matei, Raiwasa Grand Villa has a year-round outdoor pool and a private beach area. This villa features free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. The villa features family rooms.
The location of Maravu Lodge is ideal: near the airport and close to the dive sites of the rainbow reef. There is two dive shops opposite the street, but you best book ahead to make sure they can take you. At Maravu they also organise sightseeing tours to the date line and some waterfalls. The best tour was a village visit.
What a beautiful place! Staff were amazing, location was idyllic and the room was wonderful. The restaurant had incredible specials on the menu every day and the amazing sunsets added to the dinner experience. The staff happily and efficiently organised drivers and whatever we wanted to do while staying on Taveuni. A very close walk to the village that had a couple of supermarkets and the beautiful old Catholic church is also just down the road. A very special place!
The staff were incredible, so friendly and welcoming! Our room was so spacious, we loved the outdoor shower, it very much felt like an island get away. The location is great with a beautiful snorkeling location in front of the units. Dennis the owner had great recommendations and helped us book all of our tours, I would recommend the village tour it was such a great experience. The restaurant had specials every night, very tasty! Also great woodfire pizzas, and I couldn't get enough of the Pina coladas
