I have been in search of a safe and lovely place to stay with my family. And this being our first ever trip from meghalaya to kerala wayanad, the stay at puzhayoram homestay was a great help. Hospitality of the people here is awesome. They dont mind giving an excellent trip plan, helped us saving lot of time. We were tensed about the safety after all those issues happened at wayanad, but for my surprise, the main attractive places of wayanad, which we have visited were functioning at the peak, and safer as earlier too. I really enjoyed the stay at puzhayoram home stay, with my kids and parents. We really enjoyed breakfast provided, ie idiyappam and veg. Korma which was infact, yum and healthy. They did not forget to pack some of their happiness in the form of small home grown spice packets, which really touched our heart. The climate, that small river near by, with all its beauty especially in the dusk and down really gave us such a homely feeling, as they say... A home away from your home... It was all splendid. We booked 2 days extra directly after the first night and stayed for 5 nights. Sudheesh and his wife, his father and mother and there children all lovely people. It hurts to say goodby. Sudeesh aranged a fantastic taxi from Mysore to his place for a low price. The taxidriver (Namshi) spoke good English and was a very pleasant man ho invited us to his house and served frute and a drink (not for money). The place is surounded by nature and it's all birds around it. Sudheesh' wife made terrific breakfasts and each diner was different and verry tastefull. It was the best food we had in the 4 weeks that we were here. If there is a problem, Sudheesh will help you.

The owner of the accommodation was extremely helpful and assisted us in organizing various safaris. The place is excellent for nature-lovers and people who like to be "off the beaten trek" and prefer silences and a local experience over luxery. The food was excellent. The mother of the owner prepared delicious typical South-Indian food. We traveled with a large family, including children and some elderly members close to eighty years old. If you like to be into the nature, far away from heavy tourist industry this is a very good place to stay. The rooms were clean, the location was stunning with plenty of shaded areas, and the people exceptionally friendly. We stayed even more days than we were planning in the beginning. The owner has a jeep in which he orginased to get around to the several National Parks and places we wanted to visit. The owner organised a nice evening with barbeque and one day he caught fresch fisch close by to prepare for diner. We had an amazing time!

We could not find it! Tried to call many times but never picked up the phone. Finally they did, they were giving us directions with land marks like near the beverage shop take a turn! Being new to the area we had no clue where the beverage shop is. When we told them that they were rude and dropped the line! After another 15 minutes of trying, we decided to find some other place to stay.

I'll definitely be back for another party here. The pool is made for parties and the farm stay has no restrictions on loud music, alcohol or smoke. We were the only guest's at the farm. If ur a big group make sure to request them to make it private and they wil not take any other Bookings.
