So nice and clean guesthouse, and really accommodating hosts. The room was spacious and beds were comfy. The breakfast was continental, but we still enjoyed it. There was a huge living room with calming atmosphere where one could relax, try kimonos, calligraphy or do origami. We would love to come back!

Love the location of the hotel. They offer shuttle or you can just walk 15 minutes to the Kawaguchiko Station and shop around. The hotel is also a slope away from cable car which takes you up the hill to see mountain Fuji. The hotel has breakfast, afternoon tea, and light dinner buffet included so you don’t ever need to buy food. Hot Spring is nice, too. The best thing is of course the view! We saw the sunny afternoon view, clear night view, and foggy morning view of the lake all in one stay.

Peacefully situated on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the scenic Mount Fuji area, Japanese-style hot spring hotel Kasuitei Ooya features rooms with stunning lake views, some boasting a private... My favorite stay in Japan. Beautiful property, was perfect for our needs. We hiked and made summit on Fuji on the first snowfall of the 2025 season, having the private onsen was wonderful for us to sooth our muscles and prevent soreness.

Boasting views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for all rooms and hot-spring baths, Hotel Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a green tea set. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Although we arrived with a delay they were still able to swiftly arrange our transfer, prepare our room and our meal as well.

Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. This ryokan offers a truly authentic experience in a fantastic location. I highly recommend booking both breakfast and dinner if possible, as it enhances the overall experience. The small public bath was also a delightful addition that we enjoyed.

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. All the staff were extremely accommodating and pleasant. The dinner and breakfast were beyond expectations. The heated bathroom flooring was a very nice touch.

The place and host Akiko-san were amazing. They brought us bento boxes each day and graciously offered to give us rides to the train station on each day of our stay. The place is wonderful, has everything I could ask for right from laundry to a jacuzzi. Loved every bit of our stay and definitely coming back again
