The staff were super friendly and efficient during our whole visit. They even stored something in the fridge for us before we checked in, and gave us free ice tea to bring with us at check out. The annex we booked was spacious and beautiful. The private onsen was also really great, and both dinner and breakfast was tasty with a generous portion. We would definitely recommend stay here!

The location is amazing. It's convenient, close to public transport and also close to many sightseeing areas. You also get a great view of Beppu from the area around the hostel. The interior of the hostel is fantastic, you could spend hours looking at all the decorations and talking about your favorite shows. Tosi was also an incredible host who went above and beyond to make my stay as special as possible.

What a lovely place to stay! it is a private home that has been converted to a home stay however the manager was not onsite during the night and you did not feel like you were living in someone's pocket. Clean, warm and comfortable. our room was a traditional Japanese one. I was a bit wary about sleeping on the floor but the futons were thick and exceptionally comfortable with plenty of blankets. There is a private hot spring bath that is available for use which is lovely to soak in. staff were really nice and the breakfast was super delicious!

Excellent location, right in the city centre Kitahama district, 10 minutes walk from the Beppu station, surrounded by restaurants. The sushi place right next door was excellent, with the best miso soup I have ever had! The property is spacious, very clean, excellent facilities for self-catering, good toiletries. We stayed for 3 nights and it was an oasis to come back to after a tiring day of being a tourist. My wife didn't find the futon beds comfortable (too thin) but I had no complaints. The heating worked well on cold mornings. The layout of the WC, separate from the wash basin/laundry area, and shower/bath was a bit weird but no problem at all.
