That was a great choice! The owner is very friendly and welcoming, and answers questions very quickly (we used Whatsapp). The room was big, there is a kitchen part, a nice bathroom, a washing machine that works perfectly and she lets you borrow a drying rack if needed. Everything was clean and the bed super comfy (best one I've had during my whole trip!!). And if you open the window, you can hear birds singing... There is a bus station right next to the pension, just one line (66) but very convenient (max 30min from the train station for example). ETA are not always available and usually appear 10min before the bus comes, but you can check the past timetables on Naver Map which are relevant. There is an E-mart and a coffee place minutes away and a few restaurants (haven't tried any). It was rainy when I stayed there, but the room had a terrace with a barbecue you could use. If I manage to come back one day, I will definitely go there again 😊

She even prepared the BBQ and everything we needed to have a great meal for a small fee. The property is very clean and most utensils is provided for. Everything is easy to find and it didn’t feel like we lacked anything.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Jinrae Lee's Traditional House offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. This guest house features free private parking and a housekeeping service. The guest house features family rooms. The house was in an amazingly good shape with their traditional architectural style intact! While the bathrooms were not attached to the bedrooms because the house could not be remodeled to change the existing structure (as it is designated as a Protected Traditional House), each bedroom had an assigned private bathroom with a good shower and fancy amenities. This probably is the closest you can get living like a Josun Dynasty aristocrat in the modern day Korea. The owner lady was very helpful in providing tips for restaurants and things to do and see and very attentive to our comfort. While it is conveniently located (if you have a rental car) to explore the whole South Western provinces of Korea (UNESCO World Heritage Site tidal flats!), I thought that just staying in the house perched on the wooden floor looking out beautiful trees and drying persimmons with a book in hand itself was a huge treat. I would definitely stay here again!

Out of all our stays in Korea, we liked the Grim hotel the most. The character, charm and warm hospitality, including prompt response, and importantly the ability to communicate in English will ensure another visit. It isn’t your normal commercial accomodation. When we checked in the host and entrance area contained unique items and books giving it that warm welcome feeling. The location is central shops and restaurants all within walking distance. A good sleep was assured given the comfortable bed, clean linen and sparkling clean room. This is a well recommended stop over if travelling to the very south of South Korea. I

The host is the kindest person who is dedicated to providing a smooth and pleasant stay. The host prepared a lovely breakfast consisting of various tasting plates and even dropped me off at my destination for the day. The room is exactly as pictured, the attention to detail of the host clearly shines through, as every corner of the room is a lovely sight.

It was within walking distance of the ecological preserve as well as coffee shops, a convenience store, and a few restaurants.

Located in Yeosu, the recently renovated Ocean Top Marina provides accommodation less than 1 km from Ungcheon Beach Park and 5.5 km from Chonnam National University Guk-dong. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. The accommodation features a lift and full-day security for guests. The room was really nice and VERY comfortable! The photos on the site are true to life and even the view out the window is accurate! It was a nice view, comfy bed, very nice hosts that helped me immediately when my taxi had trouble finding the place. Having a kitchen was great because some nights I was just too tired to walk somewhere for dinner. Overall, a wonderful place! :)

Situated in Yeosu and only 1.4 km from Ungcheon Beach Park, Lotte Castle Marina features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The air-conditioned accommodation is 5.6 km from Chonnam National University Guk-dong. The property is non-smoking and is located 6 km from Heantong Gallery. Location was perfect, great view over the marina. Space inside the apartment was generous. Easy bus access. Lots of nearby restaurants, or 10 minutes bus to “clean crab village” for the best marinated crabs in town. Helpful owner. Best place we’ve stayed so far in Korea.
