The view to the river from our private balcony is priceless. Great choice of excellent breakfast included. A few minutes to the bridge where the boat tour starts and also close to the starting point of viewpoint treks. The owner was super nice and accommodating and she has the cutest baby girl 😍 I was sad to leave 🥲

Loved the staff. Summit looked after us very well. His “experience” tour was a highlight as well as the personal cooking class. The rooms were clean and spacious. When we got down from the camping experience Summit let us shower before our bus.

Our bungalow was great ... location was perfect, best breakfast, roomy, ac also offers heat (sooo important in late nov when temperatures drop at night), good wet shower. Was told october is warmer abd rice being harvested (nextvtime for us as we loooved this village..most charming during our one month travel south to north of Laos ). A nephew Jay is a tour guide and his 1 day tour with hikes and visits to ethnic villages is amazing. His company called j-walk echo adventures.

Fabulous location - the restaurant has a fabulous view overlooking the small jetty where the children play in the water and fishermen clean their nets. The chalets are on the main straight around 50m away. Great setting for watching life in the small village. Best of both worlds. Noy couldn’t have been more helpful and would definitely stay again - 100% recommended

Was feeling very welcome! Got picked up at the pier after arrival. Penny and Gabriel are speaking english very well, so communicating is a pleasure. They are overall the most lovely people I met on this trip. Pennys kitchen is awesome! Real sandwich bread, baguette and pasta made by Penny herself! You can't overrate the experience, of getting served proper bread / pasta / pizza (European style) in Asia.
Balcony with hammock overlooking the river tops it of.
Easily the best stay I had so far. Extended my stay just because of that!

You really are right on the river and can jump straight in. The views are insane. Rooms are quite spacious with mosquito nets. Can’t believe the stay is as good for the price.

For sure the location is great. Over looking the river, close to most everything. Right next to boat dock for up river trips. Room was comfortable and clean. I had a top floor room which had a fab view. Breakfast I can’t comment on as there is a great cafe a stone throw away with great coffee and I am not a big breakfast person anyway. Nong Khiaw is a very cool little backwater village. Great massage place maybe 100 meters from Arthith down a short alley. And Anna and her mom were the greatest hosts.
The room was big and beds comfortable. The view was also great! Location was good, it's close to the bus station and in about 10 minutes walk you could get to the main restaurants etc in the village "center" :)
It’s a fine location. Although the best option is actually staying Muang Ngoi. All the tours from Nong Khiaw to caves and trekking all take you there. You can catch the boat for 50,000 Kip from Nong Khiaw. Otherwise you’re paying way more for a tour that basically takes you to that village. We found it had better food there as well and more activities. Especially Penny’s place.
