We had an incredible stay at Yala Wild Hut. From the moment we booked, the communication was excellent—they reached out via WhatsApp with all the necessary details, making everything easy and straightforward. Upon arrival, we were picked up by jeep from the entrance, as the road to the campsite is a bit rough, but it’s only a 5-minute ride. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks, and the staff assisted us with our luggage. The food was delicious—lunch was flavorful and a bit spicy for our taste, but still very tasty. After lunch, we took a complementary walk around the campsite, which was a great way to enjoy the surroundings. We then watched a stunning sunset while enjoying some snacks prepared by the staff. The host was incredibly friendly, attentive, and polite, making us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. Dinner was also fantastic, and the following morning, we went on a safari. While we didn’t have luck spotting leopards, we saw elephants, crocodiles, birds, deer, and peacocks. The safari was a memorable experience, though the driver seemed a bit rushed at times. Before the safari, we were served coffee and tea, which was a nice touch. Afterward, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast, and the staff arranged our transportation back. The jeep took us to the entrance, and once again, the staff helped with our luggage. The hut itself was charming, well-maintained, and very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the large bathroom had everything we needed. The location truly made us feel immersed in nature while still providing all the comforts. There were also friendly and well-behaved dogs on the property, adding to the homely feel. Overall, we had an unforgettable experience at Yala Wild Hut and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, nature-filled stay with great hospitality!

The host and the housekeeper do a discreet outstanding job, making everything just perfect. A big thank you to them!

The entire place matches the description and images. It is very well maintained and has great facilities for the price we pay. The best part is the host, who goes the extra mile to ensure we have an amazing stay. Their food is very good and the quantity is sufficient. If you're looking for a quiet stay a little away from the main town, I highly recommend you to consider booking this place.

He took us to a beautiful local temple and the scene behind the temple is beautiful and peaceful.... good place for meditation. He organised the safari trip for us. We had a home made packed breakfast on the safari , really good. We also ordered lunch cooked by Udara's mother.....yummy sri lankan food. Only regret, we only had 1 day at Yala.

So beautiful, private and peaceful. Amazing staff! So accommodating and truly went the extra mile. Lovely pool and views! A monkey even came to visit on the balcony. What an experience!

The special thing about the accommodation for me was the hosts in particular - they are the nicest people ever. They helped me with everything and we had great conversations. The dinner at their place was great, I can highly recommend it. It was the best accommodation in Sri Lanka so far.

Room was clean, had a nice terrace and good AC. Common fridge and a kettle in the room. Location is great if you want a quiet place close to beautiful beaches. Some good restaurants close by but not many shops, etc. the family that runs the guesthouse is super nice and they let me checkout a bit later.

Best host family ever. They took care of everything, prepared the dinner, organised the safari and even gave me a ride to a bus station in a nearby town. 11/10, would stay again!
