The host Haran is a true people person. He knows how to treat guests like family. Starting from breakfast, we were given generous portions of authentic Jaffna cuisine which were truly delicious. The rooms were big, spacious and most importantly clean. AC, hot water was working very well. The location was a mere walking distance from Nallur kovil and could be considered an ideal location to base your Jaffna trip. All in all every one in our group enjoyed the stay and we would gladly recommend this location to anyone traveling to Jaffna.

Where do I even begin… Anathan’s place was an oasis, a safe haven for me after I spent a few days in the hectic and chaotic Colombo. From the very first moment that I arrived to the very last minute that I left, I always felt taken care of, spoiled almost, and above everything, I felt at home. In fact, Anathan’s place was so comfortable, so peaceful that it felt almost difficult to get out and explore the town. Obviously a home isn’t a home without its host. And for that, I have to thank Ananthan for going above and beyond to provide me with a comfortable stay. He always made sure that I had enough for breakfast, always asked if I wanted more tea and coffee (and yes, please), and even brought me along to the ceremonies at the Nallur temple where his family and friends were also there, welcoming me with unparalleled warmth and hospitality. Even though I was a solo traveller, I had never felt lonely during the entire stay. Ananthan was always there should I need anything. It brought me great joy and peace just to sit by the patio and listen to the singing of the birds and the rustling of the trees. I was sad that I could not stay longer. And I’d return, time and again.

The meals were delicious traditional Sri Lankan fare and better than the restaurants. Hosts Berty and Hilda were friendly and efficient at organizing anything we needed, including Tuk-tuk transport, with good understanding of English. The rooms were spacious, spotless and wonderfully cool. Our best accommodation in Sri Lanka so far.

Very helpfull owner, she aranged everything what I needed( scooter, hena painting, tuk tuk, food…) Comfortable bed, big and clean room, kitchen and teras to the garden. Good location at calm place. I really recomend this guest house!!! I would come back again. 👍😁

Nalluran illam - 2 bed room, que cuenta con vistas al jardín, dispone de alojamiento con balcón y hervidor, y está a unos 3 km de Jaffna Railway Station. This property is super clean, it shines .!The proprietor is helpful and he allowed us to leave bags in our room when we we went on a trip to delft island, basically he gave us the rooms free for that extra night as he was quiet at the beginning of the season in Jaffna , he is a kind relaxed gentleman, he is not doing food at the moment but he provided a good kitchen with microwave , kettle and fully stocked with cutlery and crockery in his beautiful home apartment, the apartment had a huge terrace balcony for relaxing. This place is an oasis inJaffna and very peaceful. Great location short distance to centre
